We love this place, very down to earth, freshly baked food - the pastries are scrumptious & the breakfast burrito is great.

We had a very delicious breakfast at The Wild Plum. Although it was very busy, the staff were courteous and attentive. We enjoyed wonderful fresh, local fruit and a delicious pastry. The seating is limited but this is a lovely little restaurant that I can highly recommend.

Our Wild Plum breakfast was so delicious and so well-prepared that we're going back tomorrow! It's a treasure, Service was friendly, personable and thorough. FROM SCRATCH & DELICOUS could be the motto.

Went here for breakfast while on holiday- all of our dishes were nice and the waitresses pleasant. The menu looked nice for lunch too. I had pancakes and bacon- all was delicious and the portions generous. The coffee was also some of the nicest coffee I've had during my limited time in the USA. Well worth a visit for a... More

The service was good, if a little laid back. If you're in no rush this place is great. Wild flowers on the table and also crayons so you can doodle on the table cloth while you wait. Massive selection for breakfast. Big portions but not so heavy as some American plates. Fresh and delicious. Juice in mason jar/glasses :) Right... More

They bake their own bread and pastries, they source all products locally and you know where the eggs or fruits are coming from. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is ideal for a breakfast, brunch or no fuss lunch. Everything is fresh and very tasty. You might not be able to finish what you’ve ordered as the dishes... More

We saw an ad for this place in our hotel room that said "Best Breakfast in Monterey" so decided to give it a try. It was a little hard to find on a side street. There are a few tables outside of the restaurant, a counter you can sit at inside that runs along the front window and a handful... More

I go to Wild Plum frequently. Call me a regular. The food is really high quality. The atmosphere is sort of Berkeley. Many good things on the menu, interesting combinations. Though it might sound mundane the grilled cheese sandwich on Nana bread is wonderful maybe the best ever. The service can sometimes be a little laconic. Roll with it, very... More

We were staying at a nearby hotel and just wandered out to see what we could find nearby for something light to eat. This was an unexpected great find. Menu has plenty of choice and the homemade soup was delicious. I had a great salad, although chicken was dry. The salads and deli items on display to take away all... More

We were in Monterey for the Big Sur Marathon and knew of this place from a previous visit. It's a small place with just a few tables, but the food is great, the people very friendly, and the atmosphere funky, with a pleasant laid-back vibe. Others on this site have mentioned a wait, but there was none when we went... More
