While staying in Monterey we were hoping to have a good Indian meal. Ambrosia Bistro far exceeded our expectations, so glad we found this gem! The Baigan Bharta was the Best I have ever had and all of the meal was excellent, including the wine. Loved the ambiance and the service was impeccable! Can't wait to go back!

This place is super fantastic...I felt like I was at a resort and the food was sooo yummy but the ambiance I think made it so special. I recommend for lovers, friends, family...everyone!! Loved it, I will definitely go back again!

On a recent visit to Monterey, our family group of four was looking for a low-budget restaurant with a good vegetarian selection and were lured by the good smell coming out of Ambrosia. I don't remember the name of the entree that I chose, but it was very good and more than I could eat. I tasted the Kabula Chana... More

Being Indian, rarely do I find food outside of my mom's cooking and food in India. But this place is a gem! We went there 2 days out of the 3 that we were in the Big Sur/Monterey area. Loved the paneer tikka! So amazing! We will definitely be returning! On a side note, their outside seating is super cute!... More

Great food very attentive staff and reasonable prices made this a perfect place for a casual Indian dinner. Generally we order from the menu but this time we ordered family style price fixed. Too much food but it was so tasty we just kept eating and eating. Great Indian beer and interesting deserts. Have a Samosa maybe two!

This place is very relaxed and has outdoor seating and indoor tables that overlook a tranquil garden. Food was very good and variety was appreciated.

Dinner always begin with the samosas. This time around we had the mattar paneer, saffron rice, a fish dish with coconut milk and mustard sauce, and the shahir paneer. All were very good as usual although the shahir paneer is not suitable for mopping up all those wonderful gravies. We were disappointed that the gulub jamon was not available for... More

We had samosas, Butter Chicken, Chicken Curry, shrimp Curry, and a vegetable something. Everything was delicious. We rated the chicken curry as the best, then the butter chicken. Shrimp curry was not bad but not notable. Decent wine choices. Very nice service and beautiful atmosphere.
