As you walk up to the restaurant the aroma is amazing. The buffet has many different offerings. The butter chicken; curry chicken and chicken tandoori were all done perfectly. The mushroom masala was our favorite vegetable dish of the day, and the squash and lentils were also very good. The service is excellent as other reviews have stated. This is... More

All the things you want in an Indian dinner. Authentic cooking, friendly waiters, cozy and romantic dining room, nice lighting. Samosas were very good, flat crackers and relishes served with. Chicken specialty for dinner had nice curry flavors, slow cooked lentils were a delight. Naan bread was freshly baked and delicious. . Happy dessert mistake had us try 'kheer' for... More

We love going to Ambrosia for it's friendly service, great buffet pricing and for it's evening dinners. The atmosphere is lovely and serene and the flavors of the food just jump out and say hello. There is a full bar (mmm - ChaiTini) and the papadums with dips are bottomless. The sizzle smells terrific for the meat eaters and the... More

We drove by this restaurant on a prior visit to Monterey and finally had an opportunity to try it. Much to our pleasant surprise, a buffet was offered for lunch. We were able to try a number of items from chicken tikka masala to lamb and vegetarian options. Naan was also provided with our meal. We sat outdoors in the... More

Delicious! Charming! Attentive! Beautiful! Was here over a year ago and looked forward to coming back. No disappointment here. Still my favorite place in Monterey! Great staff, lovely ambiance, but not fussy. Dinner was a feast for our eyes and mouths. Wonderful selection of flavored nan. Papadums with 3 sauces were brought to start us off. Then the four of... Had not had time to consult Trip Adviser but went with instinct seeing the number of Indian diners frequenting this restaurant. Excellent, well priced food and good service. Recommended

Came here based on reviews and it did not disappoint. The lamb chop appetizer was perfection and the chicken tikka masala was on point. Would definitely recommend.

While in Monterrey my wife wanted Bubba Gump. I am a vegetarian so on the way coming in I saw Ambrosia. I decided to go and give them a tried. I had a plate with three entries and rice. I had mushroom, chickpeas, and lentils. Everything was mouth watering. Will definitely come back and eat again and again

While staying in Monterey we were hoping to have a good Indian meal. Ambrosia Bistro far exceeded our expectations, so glad we found this gem! The Baigan Bharta was the Best I have ever had and all of the meal was excellent, including the wine. Loved the ambiance and the service was impeccable! Can't wait to go back!
