Excellent fish & seafood, off the beaten path

This restaurant isn't much to look at but it's crowded, and there's a bit of a wait for good reason. We came upon it on one of the side streets we took, when we were looking for lunch on the very crowded Cannery Row in Monterey. The fish and seafood is truly "right off the boat" as they say... read more

We went back. The first evening we took the wild salmon, delicious, the second time we took different dishes. One would not go three times as there is such a limited choice of side dishes that one would be forced to eat the same one. People are friendly and not pushy. It is a small place. But we did not... THE freshest (caught today) fish I've ever had! In my opinion one of the best fish restaurants in Monterey Cal. Cooked to order, not held over in a warmer. The place (or plaice?) to rat really fresh fish and a great choice ... Two happy diners 😊😊😊

Found this place after a recommendation from our hotel. It didn't disappoint! There were people waiting for tables the entire we were there, which we took as a great sign on a Sunday evening. We enjoyed the salmon and rockfish - both of which were wonderful. We even went back the next day for take out. Oysters were great. Only... More

Delicious seafood, quiet place, nice waitstaff, walk easily from Cannery Row and the aquarium. Not too expensive and seemed like a locals place.

We have been going to the Sea Harvest for many years. It is very casual, but has great fresh fish. I had a mixed plate of fish and chips...cod, shrimp, and calamari, with half fries and half coleslaw on the side. I rarely order deep fried food, but this was great with a cold beer after a long day in... More

We wanted to eat in one of the cannery restaurants, but there was a 1 hour wait, PLUS they all were quite expensive. The parking attendant suggested we eat at this restaurant because that is where many of the "locals" eat. He made a wonderful suggestion. The food was plenteous and FRESH since it is also a seafood market. There... More

I found this restaurant from searching trip advisor with quite good reviews. Take 30 minutes for waiting the table and it's worth!! Very nice staffs and food was amazing. My recommendation is grilled scallops.

The Sea Harvest is both a restaurant and a fish market--not a fancy place at all. The small dining area is festooned with sea faring chotchkies--star fish, glass net weights, all kinds of ocean decorative items. Very charming. But we weren't there for the ambiance; we were in search of fish 'n' chips. As luck would have it we scored... More

Stopped here for lunch yesterday. Busy restaurant, but friendly and accommodating wait staff. Clam chowder is amazing. Fish & chips were light and crispy, not at all greasy. Would definitely recommend!
