What more can I say. This is not a fine dining establishment; it's casual. But the food is every bit as good as any fine dining establishment you'll find in this area. The fish is fresh. You can sit down and eat it here or buy it and take it home and cook it. Their clam chowder is as good... More

If sea food is your objective, try this local favorite. Prices are inexpensive and the food is fresh. It a fish market and restaurant. We ate here twice in the two days we were visiting, dinner and lunch. Had the daily special and the fish/chips with clam chowder. Walking distance from Cannery Row. Clientele is a mix of families and... More

I love walking into a real fish market (that never smells like fish), that serves local catch over the counter and on a menu. This is a real seafood restaurant that serves the fresh, local catch in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. You can't ask or expect any better! Yum!

I have driven by here many times, but just tried for the first time in late March. Very good, reasonable priced food in a casual fish market. The restaurant was doing a good business mid-week. I would come back next time I am in Monterey and avoid the pricer, tourist oriented seafood places.

We visit each time we're in town and have never been disappointed. The menu is not extensive but seems to reflect what is fresh and of high quality. The service is friendly and efficient. Ambiance is basic, but transcended by the quality and preparation of the offerings.

Very reasonable prices for VERY fresh seafood. This is also a fish market so they catch what they cook. This very casual restaurant, has no atmosphere but the people are very friendly and the menu covers all the bases. Wine prices are cheap and you can even buy a bottle from the market side and drink it at your table.... More

We came here for our anniversary and weren't disappointed. The fish is fresh and tasty. My favorites were the salmon bisque and the cheesecake dessert! The view of Monterey Bay is gorgeous. You can see the kayakers going by and when you go outside you can hear the sea lions barking. Not fancy, but great food.

Fresh seafood. I had oysters which were fairly large and priced very affordable and a steamed, large Dungeness crab which was yummy. If you don't want to work at getting the crab meat our order the crab appetizer. Plentiful! The only complaint from our party was the clam chowder too think and served in a very large bread bowl.
