Fresh and Tasty Food, great view, exceptional service

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch today at Fish Hopper. My wife had a grilled artichoke and side salad. I had a shrimp Louie salad. The food was fresh and delicious. My wife said it was the best artichoke she ever ate. The artichoke was cut in half and grilled then drissled with a balsamic reduction... read more

On our way from Paso Robles to San Francisco we drove an extra 60 - 70 miles third time in a year for having the chance to visit Fish Hopper in Monterey. Enjoying the view at the terrace next to the sea, having lovely seafood and nice wine at very reasonable prices - that's life. Lea

Went in here on a whim, while exploring cannery row. Had never heard of it until then! found examples of all the daily specials sitting in the arrivals area, cooked and ready for close-up inspection. I had some outstanding asian glazed ribs with cajun prawns, and pineapple slaw. Guest had the sesame ahi tuna & coconut prawns salad. Both were... More

We've been coming to this place for many years now and I can honestly say, they have the best tasting clam chowder ! We have spent many days walking up and down Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row sampling clam chowder at the various restaurants. The Fish Hopper hands down has the best clam chowder to me. They recently have won... More

First off let me say my vacation was very short only over night. I will tell you this Monterey is the place to be on the weekends. My family and i stayed near by and was presented with a free appetizer coupon from the Fish Hopper, so we took advantage of it. Let me tell you the food was out... More

This wasn't on our initial itinerary but so glad we added it. I'd recommend getting a table before sunset because once it is dark you can't see as much BUT most tables are near a window so that is still nice. Food was good. Service was excellent.

We decided to try the Fish Hopper because it was within walking distance of our hotel. We made reservations through Open Table and were seated promptly at a table by the window. Since it was already dark, the view didn't really matter, but it would be a great place to sit during the day time. The only problem was that... More

This place is a joke not even a fancy steak house have this kind of judgment. We were visiting Monterey for first time and we were trying to get a table at dinner, and we had our 1yr old sleeping in the stroller. We were told at the host stand that strollers were not allowed inside (which we kind of... More
