Good Seafood restaurant

Well the location on the water drew us but it was quite nice. Its a good location on cannery row and actually has a take away stand as well so you can get the fish and chips to go. We all enjoyed our food and the lovely table on the open air deck by the water. Lunch was lovely and... read more

How many restaurants can say you can watch the whales as they swim by? It's true. We were seated in the area overlooking the Monterey Aquarium. We watched as seals, sea otters, and people in kayaks played in the rolling surf below us, and out by a sailboat and whale-watching boat, whale breached and blew from her blow hole! Everyone... Been here before, and I have never been disappointed. Great clam chowder. Had a scallop, salad that was out of this world. So much lunch with appetizer, had no room for dessert.

Well, what can I say? We came here on Friday for a late lunch (when we arrived Monterey for our anniversary). The service and food was incredible. A place that deserved a 5 star review! We liked it so much we decided to return for our anniversary dinner. We came back on Saturday and both the service and food were... More

We visited the Fish Hopper during our first afternoon in Monterey and had a wonderful experience. All of the staff were friendly and clearly experienced, going out of their way to make sure we had a good time. We requested a table outside and were seated right next to the railing on their amazing patio. The views of the water... More

Service was good, location is great right in the water, I just wish the food were a notch better. I had the Monterrey bay sardines. They were good but I wish the waiter had earned me that sardines of that size have bones aplenty and it was very difficult to eat. I then had the dungeoness crab. And my wife... More

2 out of the 4 dishes were completely oversauced and sopping, taking a delicate fish like halibut and dousing it in sauces is not any way to exhibit its natural flavors. The abalone is excellent and the sanddab's were also nice. Service was good though.
