The food was fantastic as was the service, we asked for a window table and was told it would be a 15 min so we went to the bar and barely ordered a drink when we were taken to our table. One of us had the mushrooms stuffed with crab in a lemon butter sauce, followed by calamari and the... More

We had a good dinner meal here. Presentation was very good and food quality also very good. Service was exceptional. Our waiter missed a side order of chowder with the entrees and without delay had it quickly show up and took it off the bill. Meal portions were quite generous . You wouldn't have to twist my arm to get... More

This place is near the Aquarium, so we stopped for lunch. Beautifully prepared fish plates, with the fish cooked just right. The calamari appetizer was lightly breaded, well seasoned and very good. We had the local halibut, which was perfectly cooked and delicious. Even the vegetables were well cooked and delicious. To top it off, the view of the bay... More

We recently had lunch at the Fish Hopper while visiting Monterey. It was recommended by a member of the staff at the Aquarium. We were not disappointed. We were greeted and seated by Steve, the Manager. He was very accommodating and came by our table a couple of times during lunch to see if we were happy with the service... More

My husband and I came down to see the aquarium and stopped here afterwards for an early dinner. We sat in the bar area on one of the high top tables. I would say the views are what make this place great! You could see the water on both sides. The food was decent, but nothing amazing. Though, I did... More

Nice place right on the water I Monterey. The food was good but not great but we ate there for lunch. Clam Chowder was very good but shrimp and crab salad sandwich was full of mayonnaise. The same prepared as a salad had a good Louie dressing. Service was good. It is worth returning to in the future

As always the staff was very friendly and helpful. The view from the Restaurant is lovely and even the take away chowder was very very tasty.

Everything about our lunch experience here was great. Service by immaculately outfitted staff was prompt, food was served quickly, and follow up by manager, and waiter to ensure we were happy was a nice touch. Wine list is extensive but not overpriced, and you have the option to order a half bottle if desired. I had the bacon wrapped scallops... More

We really enjoyed this restaurant and the food was the best we have had in Monterey. Kris our server was great and able to give us good recommendations. Prices were reasonable for a nice dinner. With cocktails it was under $120 for my husband and I. I wanted something local so ordered the whole dungeness crab. I had the baked... More

Went for lunch to the Fish Hopper on the recommendation of our tour driver. This restaurant is a bit on the pricey side, but the food and drinks were fabulous. I had the Seafood Risotto and husband had clam chowder. One problem I had with the Risotto, and it's partly my own fault, but I can get quite sick from... More
