This gem of a location for seafood in Monterey was recommended by a client and I was not disappointed. They open at 5PM and by 5:30 there is an hour wait for a table! They have a Bar area within the dining room that is actually almost better than the tables since most of the action happens in this area.... More

This recent time I had the cioppino, which was superb. The only dish that hasn't sat well with me was barbecued octopus, which was tasty but too spicy for... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and she was spot on! Best salmon ever, so moist it was unbelievable. Staff was super busy and likewise super efficient. It was amazing to watch their synchronized dance while always smiling.

Truly it is the best so make sure you have a reservation. Even then you still can expect to wait a bit but it is worth it.

We were in the Monterey area for business. We were looking for someplace to get seafood. In looking at online reviews, we found the Monterey Fish House. What a find. Per recommendations, we made a reservation. It is a small place but very busy. I had the cioppino at the recommendation of the Jose the waiter. It was incredibly good.... More

My husband and I waited on a night Tuesday night for 60 minutes. I was told that if we would be willing to sit at the bar, it would only be 30 minutes, but my husband and I wanted to sit at a table. Once we were seated, it was not spacious. The entire restaurant was crowded. This is obviously... More

To start it took a plenty of time to get seated, but it worth waiting. We've been travelling all over Europe, but never tried that big oysters. They were huge, BIG, etc. But still awesome. Add some good vine and souse on your taste, that's it. But you should also try the fish soup and mussels. oh' i was about... More

The oak grilled Salmon is a generous portion and the best I've ever tasted. Don't let the building fool you. It's a must when you visit Monterey.
