Pricey for what it is

It's OK sums it up. Accommodated our family group and provided high chair and kept drinks topped up. But quite a long wait for food and all quite greasy. Pricey and noisy.

We tried the free clam chowder on the street and made a reservation for later in the evening. The service was good - they even reserved a window table with a view for us - but that couldn't make up for the poor quality of the food. The clam chowder was delicious but we should have just stuck with that.... More

My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant several times over the years and never had a bad meal or poor service. It is a little pricey but the view is fantastic and a great location on Cannery Row.

we went for lunch on Thursday this week. The bread was terrible. We ordered calamari and clam chowder soup. The Calamari was so greasy and tasted awful. The clam chowder tasted like dishwater. The toddler did enjoy her chicken tenders. BAD Lunch and to make matters worse. When waiting for the elevator upon leaving. The door opened and they had... More

Had dinner at Louie Linguini 's while attending a conference in Monterey and I was pleased with the overall experience. The food and service were top notch and some tables had a view of the bay.

Positives: We were happy with the service. We consistently had our drinks full and didn't feel rushed at all. The location was good, right on the water with a nice view. Food: We ordered the sampler platter and it was overly greasy. The breading on the mushrooms and shrimp were literally dripping grease when you picked them up. Then we... More

Like I said I just don't get it. There are so many good reviews. Maybe I went at the wrong time of day. While walking by I noticed their menu and saw that they had a Dungeness Crab sandwich. Since I hadn't had lunch yet and since I love Dungeness Crab I decided to try it. After entering I waited... More

I have dined here a couple of times in the past years and the food seems to always be good. The servers are prompt, and courteous. It is located by the aquarium and there are a lot of dining choices, but you cant go wrong with this place. It is not cheap, but you get what you pay for!

Tried the clam chowder at the street side kiosk. Everyone agreed it tasted great. But with so many restaurants in the area, it's hard to choose. We went to a souvenir shop, and we saw a sign that we would get 15% off at Louie ' s with our receipt. We had 4 hungry kids so that sealed the deal.... More

When we arrived it was very warm inside the restaurant and smelled a little weird. Service was good, food was average Italian/Seafood. Beer was cold :) the complimentary bread with our meal got dried out real fast and was stale within 10 minutes so probably heated in microwave. Portions are good sized.
