I would like to personally welcome you to Cafe Fina. My family and I have been serving diners on Monterey's Fisherman's Wharf since 1989. We specialize in Italian cuisine, make our pastas and raviolis in house, grow our own seasonal organic home-grown vegetables, and serve a variety of only the freshest seafood from the Monterey Bay. Our wood-burning oven prepares excellent pizza, and the quaint Italian decor and ocean views make dining at Cafe Fina a memorable experience. I hope to see you soon! - Dominic Mercurio, Owner More about us: Cafe Fina is a full-service fine dining restaurant, serving lunch and dinner. In addition to our award winning food, we also feature a wide variety of wines, including the best of our local wines, the finest wines that Napa valley has to offer, and a fine selection of Italian wines. Dominic's cooking has enabled Cafe Fina to be the sole caterer for John Madden's induction ceremony into the Football Hall of Fame in 2006 and has earned him visits from Rachel Ray and other TV stars.

On the recommendation of our Whale Watch company

Lunch can always be a challenge, especially in a resort type location. However, this restaurant was a big surprise. The Bruschetta was huge, get this to share as an appetizer, it was also excellent fresh tomatoes and all the trimmings made for a great start. Local Sand Dabs for me and very tasty... read more

We had a lovely lunch here Staff and manager were superb with us and especially with a lady and her husband and son who turned up, she being wheelchair bound and with a nervous system medical issue. Was real impressed with how the staff looked after her. As for us. The oysters were the best ever as was the crime... More

Café Fina struck me as a run of the wharf eatery. I had one of the lunch specials and was struck by the skimpy portion size for the price. On the plus side-the broth was really good! Service was very good-Linda was very friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Don't expect breath-taking views however, unless you enjoy seeing trash... More

Visited on June 6 ,2015. Service was poor. Server gave my husband the wrong dinner. I ordered salmon ravioli with pesto. The dish lacked flavor. I doubt olive oil was used in this sauce. If so, it was of very low quality. There was no hint of freshness whatsoever. We were not asked if we would like dessert or coffee... More

Walking the wharf and taking in views and atmosphere we were drawn to Cafe Fina. After being seated near window for a great view we were greeted by Jorge. We kind of got swept along and ended up in here, looking at the menu it all looked tasty but a little expensive. I truly wish we had left, I had the shellfish paella and it was horrible and tasteless. My husband had pizza which was ok but nothing to write home about. Our server was very charming but maybe... I'm so sorry to here about your visit. We always get amazing compliments over our shellfish paella and our brick oven pizzas. We are very surprised since our paella is our number one seller. We our sorry our food didn't meet your satisfaction. The 14.95 local special is one of the best bargains on the peninsula. A three course meal, ocean view, linen napkins. Please give us another try and I'm sure you will not be disappointed. Thanks, Christy. More

The service, atmosphere and location were great but the food was just so-so. The clam chowder was the best dish at the table out of 3 entrees and a free appetizer.

If you are a creme brulee aficianado, go here! They have the best creme brulee in Monterey. Creamy and cool with a crispy top, then topped with fresh cream, you can't go wrong! We wanted to order another but were already from a day full of gluttony! Lol!
