I would like to personally welcome you to Cafe Fina. My family and I have been serving diners on Monterey's Fisherman's Wharf since 1989. We specialize in Italian cuisine, make our pastas and raviolis in house, grow our own seasonal organic home-grown vegetables, and serve a variety of only the freshest seafood from the Monterey Bay. Our wood-burning oven prepares excellent pizza, and the quaint Italian decor and ocean views make dining at Cafe Fina a memorable experience. I hope to see you soon! - Dominic Mercurio, Owner More about us: Cafe Fina is a full-service fine dining restaurant, serving lunch and dinner. In addition to our award winning food, we also feature a wide variety of wines, including the best of our local wines, the finest wines that Napa valley has to offer, and a fine selection of Italian wines. Dominic's cooking has enabled Cafe Fina to be the sole caterer for John Madden's induction ceremony into the Football Hall of Fame in 2006 and has earned him visits from Rachel Ray and other TV stars.

Pretty darned good paella....

We went to Cafe Fina as we wanted to eat on the wharf with a view. Two couples ordered two orders of paella to share and it was very good except for not really enough meat to share. It would've been plenty for one for which it was intended. There are not many tables with a View however.

Although we arrived earlier than our reservation for dinner, the staff took us in kindly. Our server was Roxanne. She and the staff made an effort to give us an ocean view table. We ordered three appetizers, salad, and main course. The restaurant got busier as soon as we arrived. Roxanne carefully served our food in good pace and timing.... More

On a recent rip south from San Francisco, we stopped in Monterey and had dinner at Cafe Fina. The food was delicious and the service way above par. Kudos to our server Mark who was the consummate professional. There were four of us and each had a different entree and each raved about the taste. I had the breaded squid... More

We came off a whale watching boat on Monterey Bay and the crew recommended Cafe Fina. I expected it to be a tourist place on Fisherman's Wharf, over priced and low quality. Boy was I wrong. We had the fish and chips and it was one of the best ever. Plus the bread was crisp and piping hot. The chips... More

My Brother and I are Native Floridians and Seafood Aficionados. I've told him about my wonderful Abalone meals in San Francisco from the 70's, but sadly you can't get it anymore. We found that some restaurants in Monterey actually can obtain it from sustainable farming and Cafe Fina is one of those. We called in advance to make sure it... More

Thank you for writing a review on Café Fina. I'm glad to hear that the Paella was really good. The dish is intended to be for one person, however we do let our guest know that if you're not too hungry it is possible to share. Thank you once again for letting us know about your feedback. My husband and I spent an overnight in Monterey, CA in early May 2015. We had our dog, Mac, with us so finding a place for dinner was challenging. That is, until we came across Café Fina on Fisherman's Wharf. They have a full menu of Italian and seafood favorites. What really sets Café Fina apart is their Fido Menu.... More

I went on a whale watch out of Monterey and the boat crew recommended this restaurant. I stopped in for lunch on my way off the wharf. Cafe Fina prides itself in having the best Italian food on Fisherman's wharf, and they do. The Cioppino is absolutely the best. TV and Movie Stars have eaten there and the restaurant has proof by keeping the pictures at the entrance on the wall. The brick oven pizza is very tasty too.
