This was a great suggestion given to us by our hotel desk clerk. We should have followed his advice and eaten dessert first and taken the food back to our room for later. The desserts looked so wonderful and are made on site daily but we were too full from the generous portions to even consider the temptation. There was... More

This is the best place to have a meal in downtown Monterey. It is close to many attractions. The menu is varied and prices are reasonable. Portions are generous as well. Desserts are to die for and made on site daily.

I ordered the turkey club with onion rings. It was good, but not the best I ever had. I've had better of both items. Our waitress Jackie was excellent serving us quickly and tending to our requests

We felt strongly that the food we were served did not match our expectations after making our choice from what looked a very interesting and varied menu. Perhaps we caught the Chef on a bad day..?

If you are a breakfast person and happen to be in Monterey, Ca you should treat yourself and stop at Rosines. I live in Palo Alto,Ca, 90 miles from Monterey and on many occasion have driven to Monterey just for breakfast at Rosines. I have been going to Rosines for over 20 years, primarily for breakfast, and have never had... More

We walked from the Monterrey Plaza which was a bit of a hike but we were good and hungery by the time we got there. I had a platter with sausage eggs and French toast. It was very good. My husband said his veggie omelet and potatoes were good as well...as was the coffee. The waitress kindly offered to substitute... More

First visit was so filling and fun as well as our second! Portions are generous and very good-plenty to take home too. Save room for dessert galore! Top choices should include Minestrone soup, lasagna, and German Chocolate cake! We were impressed with the attentive and courteous service too!

This restaurant is located in a prime spot on main street and recently there is always a line a the door waiting for a table. With a recent visit by triple D this place has gotten a lot of great press. Monterey has a farmers market on Tuesday and while shopping we noticed that the restaurant was empty and decided... More

Perhaps I was expecting more from one of the more highly rated Monterey restaurants but I found this meal to be lacking in taste, and the enormous portion sizes made us feel like we were wasting a lot of uneaten food. The apps my sons ordered (buffalo wings - very pink in the centre) and calamari (fried sticks with french... More

A nice casual place in the downtown area of Monterey. They don't take reservations but the wait time is not much. The prices are reasonable - dinner about 20 bucks per head without hard drinks. Portions are generous but not too large. Their signature dish - Homemade Lasagna is worth a try. It is not too cheesy but light and... More
