Wonderful dining experience! Great people, great food and great music (Jackie Turner Band featuring Warren Paradise) Must tries are: Grilled Baby Octopus and the Beet Salad/local goat cheese. Both were absolutely wonderful. The service at the bar was awesome and knowledgable about wine. Beautiful setting in a beautiful town. I'll be back for sure!

After several years of attending a conference in Monterey, we always manage at least one meal at Cibo. They have always provided us with excellent service and food, and we've never come away unhappy. We are happy to report this year as well we loved our dishes - salad, appetizers, pasta, fish - and were also happy at how well... More

Decent food, service was slow - long wait for ordering entrees & spotty refill of water. Had to ask for bread (& they didn't bring any butter or dipping oil), which was eventually brought out after we had finished our salads. Music & atmosphere were nice.

My husband, (who plays sax), and I went to the Sunday afternoon jazz jam! It was great and we BOTH had a good time! The musicians played everything from smooth jazz to R&B to classic rock! The crowd AND the musicians seemed to both have fun as well. What started out as five musicians became ten skilled players four of... More

We ate here twice on a recent visit to Monterey. The first night our meal was fantastic and so we returned later in the week. The location being near our hotel made this the ideal venue to eat after a full day working. Unfortunately our meal was disappointing on the second visit. My husband was given the wrong starter. When... More

We were staying at a nearby hotel and looking for a place to go with a group. The group was fun, the drinks were good. Somehow this place seems like it does a big drink business, like a bar, but with decent food also. The food is OK Italian. Would be great in a small non tourist town but you... More

After a hard day of night, our group search for a recommended restaurant and we selected Cibo Ristorante Italian at 301 Alvarado Street in Monterey, California. There was a live jazz band with "Santana" like music going on when we entered Cibo! The place was jumping and hopping with people on the dance floor and people at its bar! We... More

We've been here almost every time we visit Monterey. This time we had a great rigatoni meal and salad, drinks. I love that it is an Italian restaurant and they actually serve Prosecco and Bellinis. They have a great variety in their menu and the owner, Rosa, is there overlooking things. We had a party of four and enjoyed the... More
