Excellent but Pricey

The service was impecable, the food was delicious. The atmosphere was a little stuffy, but for a special occasion may be ok.

I dont have high expectations for restaurants in tourist destinations. Sardine Factory was an overwhelming surprise! The wild abalone medaillion was tasty and rich. Their Nebraska steak was the best steak on my trip from SF to LA on which I had several excellent meals. It was lightly charred to a crisp outside, inside tender, juicy and tasty. While I... More

I have been to this restaurant many times but this evening was so special. Marty Celaya, Restaurant Manager, and our server Sunjeev (Sunny) couldn't do enough. The atrium seating was lovely, the food amazing and suggestions for our meal were perfect. We will continue to return to this wonderful restaurant.

A true classic! I have had dinner and even just appetizers/drinks here more then a few times but just realized I have yet to actually review. We recently had a celebratory dinner here and decided to go all out. We made reservations (definitely recommended for a weekend night as this place fills up) for the conservatory room which in my... My friends and I got to enjoy a lovely meal here last night, and I was so impressed with the friendliness and accommodation of the staff! They were all so friendly and helpful. The decor is extravagant, and it was fun to go to such a fancy place after touring all day and not feel looked down upon for not... More

Upon arriving I wasn't sure what to expect. We had a drink in the bar while we waited for the rest of our group to arrive. Upon their arrival we were lead into and through a beautifully decorated and appointed dining room then into a beautiful atrium if you can imagine an elegant version of Tavern on the Green .... This was recommended to us by a lady in a tourist information place near Yosemite. The food was really nice, especially the sea food. However, I would say even the set menus during Happy Hour were not cheap, and the proper, al la carte dining was hugely expensive.

We had always wanted to visit this place but never quite made it. Too bad because we have been missing a true gem. The decor is decidedly old fashion, almost Victorian, but very comfortable for all that. The menu is modern, the food fresh and expertly prepared. I had the halibut and my wife had salad and chowder. The halibut... More

Again it's touristy but ask for the blue and gold room. Tad over the top but fun. Decent seafood and had a great baked alaska dessert.
