My husband and I stumbled upon this pub and happily returned several times. It's very warm and inviting, the prices are reasonable, the food is good and they have a back patio as well. Service was efficient and very friendly. Lots of interesting nautical pieces around the pub just adds to the great atmosphere. If back in Monterey, would happily... More

We stumbled upon the Crown and Anchor in our search for the restaurant recommended by our hotel. We were so glad that we did. My husband was in the mood for "comfort food" and the daily special of salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and gravy really fit the bill. My grilled shrimp salad was fresh and tasty. Great food and very... More

I was tired, it was late. I was looking for something to eat at 11 pm after a few beers. This place was packed, reasonable, quick and the burger was tender and tasty, the fried thick and crispy as I like them. Service was as expected.

We ate at this place for location only- it was across the street from the hotel, and we were tired and starving. What a nice surprise to find such a fantastic place! The food is solid British pub food, from the curry to the meat pies. Everything we had was delicious, especially the Steak and Mushroom Pie. The patio area... More

It seems odd to go to a British pub for lunch in Monterey, but it was recommended by a local and did not disappoint. At lunch it is quite quiet, so easy to get a table, in our case outside in the terrace area. Friendly staff and a good menu, which is not just British. The decor is like a... More

British style pub in a downtown basement ( a bit over the top with a nautical theme) but great service and good food. I ate all but the bone of my tasty lamb shank (okay so I'm a Welsh ex-pat).

I've been here many times with friends and I always come back for the curry fries. They're soooo good. The rest of the food on the menu is ok. A lot of the seafood is fried and not great. The beer selection is pretty good though. The atmosphere is great too but it does get really crowded and loud at... More

Food was incredible. Be sure to try the curry potato wedges. Server was great, and the drinks...wow! The vibe of the place is really fun.
