Met relatives here for drinks and dinner . They are locals and say this is one of their local favorite go to spots. Had a great long island and a plate of pasta with shrimp and artichoke hearts. When I saw the portion size I was thinking of needing a to go box until the first bite. I polished off... More

The atmosphere here was great, however the food was pretty terrible. The fish was not even close to being beer battered, and the "chips" were straight out of the grocery freezer steak fries. If you come here, just come for drinks!!!

Love visiting this place whenever I come back into town. Great food and friendly staff. If you are just looking for the perfect watering hole this is it. Weekends it can get pretty packed! Also great outside patio that shoots right out into downtown Monterey. Space heaters and rain covers for bad weather. Check this out and try their wings... More

We went there looking forward to Prime Rib and an English atmosphere, having done a great deal of delightful Monterey seafood stuff, and we were quite disappointed. The service was not bad, although the two pieces is medium rare prime rib we received were at least 1/3rd fat, and obviously heated up in the au jus pan to bring it... More

This was awful, definitely would not go back. The fish, in the fish and chips entree, tasted just awful. One bite and we were done. Our male waiter (Peter?) made very rude, snippy comments to us. We were very shocked at his rude demeanor. Quickly paid the bill and left.

We never tire of this pub. Some of the best mash & gravy for me. The staff are friendly and very efficient. We've never been disappointed by any meal we've had there in 14 years. We think you'll like it. It's in Old Town Monterey and just around the corner from Alvarado Street. Sit outside on their patio and enjoy... More

Great place to eat - English Pub Downtown Monterey - apparently the pub is owned by a British couple so you can tell - nice setting and the menu is very good - they even produce a separate vegetarian/vegan menu. The staff are very attentive and love to chat - food served very quickly and very good - only negative... More

The drinks and food were reasonable and delicious! We started with the fried artichoke appetizer and were pleasantly surprised it was so good! Than I had the special fish dish of the day and my boyfriend had the shepherds pie. He had dined here in the past and was already sold on the pie before we arrived. I am excited... More

We lived in England a couple of years and the atmosphere made us feel as tho we'd made a return.....carpeted!!! English decorations on the walls just like what the British pubs would display. Our lunch was amazingly good. We had the special appetizer which was quesidillas and the crab wrap. We didn't have any dessert but from the past we... More
