It was incredible!

This was our first time there and there were three of us. We shared 3 appetizers that were unbelievably delicious! We then ordered clam chowder! We then ordered a bowl of clam chowder and our grandson ordered a cup of the same. Wow, ours came in a conch shell which was,we think, the equivalent of... read more

Old Fisherman's Grotto is a great place. The servers are very professional, the food is excellent, and the location is fun. The sand dabs were served with a delicious sauce. The salad was very fresh and crisp. Definitely recommend!

Because of our great experience here last year, we made a point to stop for lunch on our way to our hotel on Cannery Row. The quality of our food was not as consistent at last time, so why the 5 stars? Because of the way the waitress handled our concerns. First the outstanding: Sand Dabs - fresh from the... More

The views were to die for, nothing can compare to them. The food was good, but nothing spectacular. For the price I paid I expected a little more flavor, but I got the feeling that they are a fancier assembly line kind of restaurant.

My fiance and I had lunch here at 11:00 a.m. on President's Day. We didn't think it would be busy but luckily we made a reservation on Open Table the night before and got a table by the window. The servers are great. Our server, Celia, was very friendly and fast. I had read the night before on Yelp that... More

We spent the day in Monterey and decided to eat here because of all of the great reviews on Tripadvisor! We were very pleased!! The food was fantastic and fresh! We started with the grilled artichokes, which were good. We both ordered the stuffed prawns and a cup of clam chowder. Wow is all I have to say! The chowder... More

This restaurant shows up in national publications for a reason, it's really good. Casual setting over the water but the best thing is everything is fresh. Wide variety of seafood and hard to find selections.

I'm a local and love bringing my wife and adult children there to eat. The food and service is consistently excellent. Management is clearly focused on the customer experience. Be it visitors looking to enjoy lunch on the wharf with a wonderful view to a romantic dinner the experience is there. I'd love to give a food recommendation but everything... More
