My husband and I came in for soup and a cocktail after a fabulous morning whale watching. The clam chowder is excellent, no wonder it's world famous. The staff were pleasant and we were seated immediately. Will definitely eat here again.

Ok, so here is the bottom line. Broad menu selection of starters, salads, entrees. We enjoyed a wonderful seafood platter to start. The salmon, chicken piccata and crab entrees were all excellent. Nice wine selection especially of Santa Lucia Highlands designations. We had a Bernardus Four Boys Vineyard designation which was terrific. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Lovely meal tonight. Beautiful sunset to start. Calamari, crab & rock cod all locally caught. Pinot Noir produced in Monterey & extremely professional waiting staff. Great.

A very enjoyable meal with engaged attentive service. The Schtick up and down the wharf is to pass out tastes of their clam chowder and give you a free 'appetizer' card. Nice touch but sadly my desired app was not on the list of the freebies I started with the half dozen oysters on the half shell. Nicely presented and... More

We booked several weeks in advance and were really looking forward to eating here. Wow! It was better than we anticipated. We had a window table overlooking the Pacific and enjoyed some of the best seafood we have ever tasted. The service was professional and friendly (thank you Celia). Excellent cocktail, excellent food, excellent wine list, excellent staff, excellent location,... More

Located in the middle of Fisherman's Wharf with all the rest of the tourist traps led us to believe to just pop in. Mistake. This is old school where you should dress nice and expect to pay $$$ They gladly sat us and we immediately felt out of place. But 60% of the diners were in jeans and tshirts when... More

My husband and Love to order some Calamari, and a huge bowl of chowder. We watch the Otters play and enjoy the fantastic service and great food. They have a wine selection, and if you can't decide, the wait staff is superb about recommending a perfect match for your meal. I think about flying to Monterey just to visit.
