This restaurant was so busy but our order and food were handled timely. Had driven by here on our way to the Aquarium and made a mental note if Pizza was our goal after a day at the Aquarium. Arrived there about 7 PM and wow was it packed but it had a great atmosphere so we decided to try... More

I have eaten here many times and each time it is just as good as the first!! The pizza here is simply awesome. This is a local spot, not a chain, and the taste and quality show it. You are looking at about $25 for a medium specialty but worth every penny! This last time we had the Gianni's Special... More

Yes, this is a large, noisy, busy place and it's no wonder why. The pizza was very good, service quite efficient. You order at the counter and your food is brought to you. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a quick evening meal.

We visited in August, and I can't fault the food. It's simple eating, you order at the counter, take a number and choose a seat, but the food is very impressive, and cheap too.

Totally non-chain. And, not big on the exotic modern-Calif. toppings. Good honest robust Italian-American pizza. Nice place to take a group. Lots of life for a night out. Great deserts.

Somebody suggested pizza for lunch, and I'd seen this place in the local magazine as "the most awarded" pizza place. Plus the reviews sounded good. The negative is the first impression. The order taker obviously was there to take orders, and wasn't going to bother to smile or be friendly (mentioned in other reviews). But, THAT was the only bad... More

Our table ordered three appetizers, breadsticks, wings and mozzarella sticks. If I was the complaining type, I'd have sent all three back. The breadsticks were dried out and hard. The wings appeared to be microwaved and the mozzarella sticks were out of a bag. Horrible. Luckily, the pizza was very good, HOWEVER, if you're in the restaurant business in Monterey,... More

It was a quick walk (a few blocks) from our hotel to this place. We had heard about it on trip advisor and based on the reviews, we wanted to try it out. You order at the counter and it is hectic. I can't remember what day we went but it was really crowded and loud. The pizza was great!

Enjoyed our family pizza dinner at Gianni's. Tasty food, busy / buzzing atmosphere. Liked the accordion player too (Friday evening entertainment) ! No table service here - order at the front counter. Quick service though. Would definitely re-visit if in Monterey again.

After a failed attempt of finding Pizza in Monterey we drove by Gianni's and wife said stop. It was lunch time on Saturdsy. Stepped up to counter and ordered a small (14") thin crust Hawaiian Pizza. Cook time would be 15 mins. Ate one of their garlic & cheese bread sticks ($0.75) while waiting. It was so-so. The pizza was... More
