Consistent and Excellent

Always, creative and delicious. The best cocktail program in town. We go there for every special occasion. Anything with Tony's hand-crafted bacon is terrific.

So some of you can eat expensive and not bat an eye, if so do not hesitate to dine here. But even if you just do this once in a while this place is fantastic. From the delish truffle fries to the kale salad to great drinks, friendly staff and superb entrees this is nice. We had short ribs and... More

The hotel on the Saturday night we visited had all reservations for the night. I highly recommend making reservations or you will have to sit in the bar area. I wasn't sure I liked that arrangement, since you sit so close to others, but we chatted with the other couples who were very nice. I highly recommend the bread pudding... More

Montrio Bistro is fantastic! My wife and I are self-confessed foodies, but our ability to indulge in wonderful food has been hampered by our young son. Montrio Bistro was the perfect combination. We had read other reviews that this was not a family-friendly restaurant, but nothing could be further from the truth. They had paper tablecloths with crayons as soon... More

We dined at the Montrio Bistro for my wife's birthday. I felt the staff treated us very well both upon our arrival and when we were finishing out dinner. We felt like we were treated special. The table was lightly decorated when we arrived. The Dessert plate had a birthday message written in chocolate around the edges. A lighted candle inside... More

This is a place where everyone seems to be having fun. The food is good (but not exquisite), the atmosphere relaxed, the prices manageable especially on Sunday nights.

Fine dinining and Fine food in downtown Monterey; Sunday night was half-off on bottles of wine. We really enjoyed the fantastic food and the stylish, comfortable ambience. The quality and quantity of the food was surprising - in a very good way!

I have no idea how they make the sauce so good, but Montrio's does Crab Cakes right. It's Monterey. There are lots of great restaurants. No other place matches Montrio's small bites. Don't even argue with me on n this!

Just up the street from our hotel so an easy walk. The setting is charming in a converted firehall, with the big bay doors. Service was extraordinary. They have small and medium plate as well as entree. We loved the grilled artichoke, the sauce was delicious. The pork chop was the best my husband says he has ever had, and my... More
