We found this restaurant while visiting Monterey and agree with all the good reviews below. The owner makes all the food for the last 20 years. I especially liked the spanakopita. All the food had great flavor and there were plenty of vegetarian options available. I agree with other reviewers that this place is better for small parties, there is... More

What a small homey spot. The food was amazing and the gentlemen was so kind. Not great for big groups but I still loved that I came here with my wife. (^__^)

The best I've had at a restaurant. Tasted homemade. I met the owner at the farmers market before trying the restaurant. Really nice guy.

We found Paprika online and it had great reviews both on Trip Advisor and Yelp. We decided to check it out for dinner mid week. There was no wait when we arrived, but there is minimal seating inside the restaurant. There are only a couple of tables for two, and a couple of bars where several people can sit in... More

The dining area seems to be a dining room in someone's house, as someone else said, there are only a few seats. The food is really delicious, especially the kebabs, but the portions did seem a bit small for the price The owner is really friendly

Paprika Cafe (309 Lighthouse Ave., Monterey, CA 93940, tel. 831-375-7452) is a tiny, cute place and a throw-back from earlier times. The owner does absolutely everything without anyone else there to help. It was almost full. We had a very good lunch, after waiting our turn for it to be made. Dimitri had a foul (Egyptian fava bean stew) that... More

I was really excited to try this place but it didn't live up to the hype - sorry! I counted 14 chairs in the place and your party can't have more than 4 people without splitting into separate tables. When I walked in the guy sort of stared at me and I was the first to say hello. Awkward. They... More

We visited twice on days published as being open. We were disappointed because of the high reviews. Sorry we had to give such low rating but N/A was not an option.

This is a very small and quaint family owned middle eastern restauant, frequented by locals. I knew we were going to have a great dinner as wonderful aromas wafted to us as we walked up the stairs and entered the restaurant. The restaurant is eclectic. It is located in a converted house, and seats 13 people max. We were warmly... More

Paprika is limited on seating, and the location isn't anything spectacular. BUT. The service we experienced and the food itself confirmed what we had heard and read about the place. The owner himself took our order, cooked our food, and sat to chat with us about our travels through Jordan. We were fortunate, having been the only two seated for... More
