Thanks to Arecelli for great service on Valentine's Day. Good: the gnocchi was really good, lite and tasty. The Garlic fries were cooked just right. The bad: the garlic on the fries was raw and bitter. The special halibut was over cooked and the pasta tasted like tuna noodle casserole. Arecelli needs to get a job in a better restaurant.... More

Not worthy of 4 out of 5. Much better places on the wharf. Surprised they can afford to stay on business.

This review is for the service only, and not the food! Since the service was so bad, my husband and I walked away from this restaurant. After we were done with the whale watching tour, my husband and I wanted to enjoy a nice lunch while still in Monterey. We stopped at this place because we wanted to sit outdoors... More

It was over two months ago when we visited this place but I still remember that feeling when we were leaving the Trattoria - the feeling that it was just dissapointing and definitely not worth our money, or even our time! AFAIR, we ordered some soups and pastas. They weren't bad but it's nothing to remember. No 'wow factor' at... More

this is one of the finest restaurants on the wharf! If you are at (or even near) the fisherman's wharf in Monterey and want Italian food, this is the place to go! We have always rec'd great service here, and the food is always excellent. We have been with family, with friends and by ourselves and it is always perfect!

This is the experience that you desire after a day of sight seeing and wandering around the Monterey Peninsula; a quiet restaurant by the water that serves excellent food, with service to match. My husband and I both had the ravioli, which was simply divine. It's a small restaurant with character and style. Louisa, was so personable. We enjoyed her... More

We visited with our dog so we had to sit outside (they have a nice outside area) but it was quite blustery and bordering on cold. The owner brought out two large gas heaters and made it very comfortable. The food was very good; we had Porticello and Aglio with prawns. Both were outstanding and I am getting hungry writing... A warm friendly greeting as we entered the restaurant. I chose the Norwegian salmon linguini and my wife had the Trattoria chicken salad. Both were really good and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. There is a choice of both inside and outside dining options with views looking out over the harbour. If we were staying in the area a little... More
