My favorite type of restaurant-- small, Italian, with great food and great wine. The service was impeccable. I had osso bucco that was melting off the bone good, and they even provided a small spoon for the marrow. The atmosphere was perfect and we were able to enjoy a conversation with an old friend. I would definitely eat there again... More

I love French food but rarely find it available for less than $$$ on Yelp. This was affordable for a nice meal in a cute seaside town and super delicious! I had the canneloni and creme brulee plus a carrot appetizer that was on the house.

For fresh fish, perfectly prepared, with romantic ambience and great wine, this place can't be beat! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Bistro Moulin! Would definitely return.

We ate at Bistro Moulin in Monterey this week on the recommendations of a colleague. We were very happy that we did. Set in a small building a block from the Monterey Bay waterfront and aquarium, the space welcomes with a French flag and a very French Bistro interior. It is intimate, simple and warm. We ordered a glass of... More

Although Bistro Moulin is just a block off Cannery Row, it is definitely not a tourist trap. The Cannelloni Tartofa is very carefully prepared and flavorful. It is a small restaurant and the menu is limited but well thought out. The wine list is extensive. The service was attentive but not overbearing. We will dine here again when in the... More

Food was good, but over priced. We shared an appetizer, ordered two entrees and shared a dessert: $95 with tips without drinks! Service was prompt, but not friendly or engaging. We told them that it was our 20 years anniversary at the time we made the reservation, but nothing special was done; not even a congratulation. Food was good, but... More

We visited after spending a few hours at the aquarium across the street with two teens. To be honest I had pretty low expectations given the proximity to the aquarium/the fact that the restaurant is in such a touristy area. Excellent meal! Catch of the day (sole) was fabulous, as was duck confit, escargot, moules & frites, and gnocchi. One... More

Our first trip to a french restaurant in quite awhile. Maybe our expectations were too high, but we were disappointed considering the high price we paid. Service was attentive although a bit disjointed with several different waitstaff coming to our table. Nice atmosphere with a small cottage feel, but ridiculously noisy and busy. The entrees were very good, but just... More

We called for reservations; we didn't want to miss a chance to eat at this restaurant. We are so glad we did. It gets booked up fast, and fills with locals who meet to catch up over great wines and great dining in a casual atmosphere. We were impressed at the variety of customers, young, old, foreign, local - every... More
