I made reservations here for my boyfriend's birthday. We were seated near the window on the second floor, which probably has a spectacular view, but at night we couldn't see much. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and pleasant. The service from beginning to end was also wonderful. I was expecting to have an exceptional meal since I read... More

I have to say that I do not write bad reviews of any place but this had to be told. This spot has many memories for my wife and I from back in the days of it being one of the Chart House restaurants. When they took the place over they spent a ton of money on the inside wood... More

Everyone we spoke to in Half Moon Bay from waitress to shopkeepers highly recommended this place. Food is different and yummy. Cocktals are divine. Setting is breathtaking** Go here at sunset!

I found out about your restaurant by watching check please Bay Area on television. I was really excited about trying it out. When I texted for a reservation on a weekend, I got a call back on Wednesday, I ask for a front table and said it was for our anniversary, when We arrived yesterday, two young lady's greeted us,... Big open dining room gets pretty loud, but its great for groups. The food is really delicious. The tapas style menu is great for sharing and they have large plates as well. They have gluten free and vegetarian fare, but the fresh fish and steaks are what to go for. The Pisco Sour Cocktail is pretty good, the wine list... More

Overrated for sure. The food is so so, which is so disappointing since we sat through hours of car time to come here. If you want Peruvian or Peruvian-like food go to Croquetta or to Lolinda in SF. The bar looks to be the most happening spot, but it's a first come first serve so be prepared to wait. The... More

This Peruvian style restaurant offered excellent gluten free options in the Peruvian style. Our waitress Ivonne was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive despite a busy labor day rush of customers. meats, Fish, Salads and seafood all were excellently prepared. Dinner for two with drinks was about $100. Definitely a keeper !

If you're ever driving down Hwy 1 and want to stop for dinner somewhere between Pacifica and Half moon bay,, this is the place to go. It's only open for dinner. We spent an hour on the sandy beach in front, and walked in at 5pm to a delicious dinner. The menu is Peruvian and we stuck to the classics,... More

Absolutelu fantastic food and a great view - you are right on the beach. The Pisco sours were exactly like they make them in Peru - I had t have 3! Started with fresh Halibut cerviche then moved on to an amazing red chili pork dish. Yum!

La Costanera had good service, interesting food, live music and the most amazing patio. We were happy to discover the downstairs lounge area, which is at beach level and opens to a beautiful patio. As a vegetarian and another person with a shell fish allergy, our options were somewhat limited. However the Ensalada Nuovo Andina was delicious.
