This Peruvian style restaurant offered excellent gluten free options in the Peruvian style. Our waitress Ivonne was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive despite a busy labor day rush of customers. meats, Fish, Salads and seafood all were excellently prepared. Dinner for two with drinks was about $100. Definitely a keeper !

If you're ever driving down Hwy 1 and want to stop for dinner somewhere between Pacifica and Half moon bay,, this is the place to go. It's only open for dinner. We spent an hour on the sandy beach in front, and walked in at 5pm to a delicious dinner. The menu is Peruvian and we stuck to the classics,... More

Absolutelu fantastic food and a great view - you are right on the beach. The Pisco sours were exactly like they make them in Peru - I had t have 3! Started with fresh Halibut cerviche then moved on to an amazing red chili pork dish. Yum!

La Costanera had good service, interesting food, live music and the most amazing patio. We were happy to discover the downstairs lounge area, which is at beach level and opens to a beautiful patio. As a vegetarian and another person with a shell fish allergy, our options were somewhat limited. However the Ensalada Nuovo Andina was delicious.

What a treat. The food, location and decor of the restaurant were superb every dish that we tried was memorable, we particularly loved the corn on the cob as an appetizer. The tres Leche dessert and Alfajores were amazing. The view of the ocean was breathtaking.

Well, it had to happen, because nobody's perfect and nothing lasts forever. I've written several glowing reviews about La Costanera. This was my 7th visit in 10 months, and the previous 6 were all outstanding. Not this one. During the previous 6 visits, the general manager, Al Gonzalez, was always there, but on this one he was not, and it... More

This is a beautiful restaurant overlooking the Pacific Ocean so you may be competing for parking with surfers. The food was just OK compared to other Peruvian restaurants I have tried in the Bay Area. The service was understaffed. Slow on the appetizers in the bar because our dish was served to another table. I would not order another pisco... More

Fabulous place, fabulous food, worth the drive! This is very high class food in an incredibly beautiful place, looking out over the ocean. You don't want to take your mother here if she has hearing issues, but your date - oh yes!

An absolutely gorgeous building on an even more impressive site overlooking the beach and surf of Montara CA. amazing ground floor, glass protected bar/entertainment spot on the beach, fun, lovely inside bar behind it (still with ocean view) and an incredible dining room above, again with that great view. The Peruvian menu is huge, from several ceviches, small plates, large... More
