I go out of my way for this fine dining experience

I've been here a couple of times and I've always been incredible impressed with the food. Brazilian corn nuts, amazing wine and cocktails, and eclectic dishes...all right on the ocean. This is a place I go out of my way to go to for a fine dining experience.

I had the braised beef empanada and for $13.00 and it was very small. The macNcheese was very delicious with the smoked bacon. The chicken & chorizo paella was ok tasting nothing wow about it. The paella rice was a little soggy for me. The service and ambiance was very good. Overall your paying for the view. Next time if... More

I was visiting my family in Half Moon Bay. I would not have discovered this restaurant without them as it is on the way to San Francisco situated on a beautiful beach. The setting of it is definitely special especially for people not living in the seaside. The style of the restaurant is modern, yet there are many beautiful details -... More

Not only a spectacular sunset but we enjoyed the tapas that were all special - prawns coated with quinoa and bbq sweet potatoes to the scallops and empanadas. The paella was fabulous and flavorful for an entree. Last, tried the passion fruit Peruvian drink - such a delight with some sort of chili salt on the glass - wow!

Good food, good service, a bit noisy. Although it is on the beach, not all tables have a great ocean view. Parking is an issue as the lot gets filled quickly then you have to park on Hwy 1 and walk back to the restaurant.

Awesome dinner . . Peruvian cuisine . . every dish is a masterpiece! The food is awesome. Unfortunately you can tell your server about food allergy and it will be totally ignored. Your plates will come loaded with whatever you are allergic to. The check will highlight the food allergy but neither the chefs nor your server will actually give... More

This is one of the best restaurants on the Coastside. It is located on the bluff tops and has a commanding view of the ocean. There is a bar downstairs with outside tables (and heat lamps). The food is sensational; full of great flavors. This is a "small plate" place so we usually order several of these per person and... More

I can understand why La Costanera received a Michelin Star since they rate on food only. Yes the food is very good and consistent. However, I cannot give a good review on the service. It is consistently poor and I have been there several times. Dishes that were ordered were never brought to the table, wrong orders were brought and... More

We took our family there and were delighted. We found the view fabulous and the food was as well. Since we live so close to the restaurant we will return many times.

Location, Location, Location! This restaurant is perched above Montara public beach along highway one, just north of Half Moon Bay. It would be hard to think of a better location! The main attraction outside the restaurant is the sunset. In winter this can be quite early (before 18:00) and you should arrive early and expect a line up waiting at... More
