Well, it had to happen, because nobody's perfect and nothing lasts forever. I've written several glowing reviews about La Costanera. This was my 7th visit in 10 months, and the previous 6 were all outstanding. Not this one. During the previous 6 visits, the general manager, Al Gonzalez, was always there, but on this one he was not, and it... More

This is a beautiful restaurant overlooking the Pacific Ocean so you may be competing for parking with surfers. The food was just OK compared to other Peruvian restaurants I have tried in the Bay Area. The service was understaffed. Slow on the appetizers in the bar because our dish was served to another table. I would not order another pisco... More

Fabulous place, fabulous food, worth the drive! This is very high class food in an incredibly beautiful place, looking out over the ocean. You don't want to take your mother here if she has hearing issues, but your date - oh yes!

An absolutely gorgeous building on an even more impressive site overlooking the beach and surf of Montara CA. amazing ground floor, glass protected bar/entertainment spot on the beach, fun, lovely inside bar behind it (still with ocean view) and an incredible dining room above, again with that great view. The Peruvian menu is huge, from several ceviches, small plates, large... More

This is a beautiful restaurant. We had a great meal, tapes, with a great verity of styles. The view at the restaurant is stunning with the choice of eating outside overlooking the ocean or inside with floor to ceiling windows. A great experience all around.

Great location Decent peruvian food. Over crowded, loud. Good for a business dinner, not recommended for a family or romantic night. Prices not terribly expensive given the location Bad parking

I recommend this restaurant in spite of the mediocre food because there is something magical about it and if you are careful ordering you can enjoy the wine selections and some of the dishes. Maybe going to Happy Hour first time for the Tapas will do the trick, so you can sample more savory choices. The paella was more than... More
