Quality food coupled with great service is exactly what you will find at Cafe Massilia. Created in the mold of a bistro that can be found all over France, Cafe Massilia is neither too formal nor too uptight - it is a friendly and relaxed environment where customers can enjoy a great dining experience and taste authentic, traditional French cuisine. With an old world charm and welcoming decor, Cafe Massilia offers Breakfast served until 11:30am during the week and until 4 p.m. on the weekends, and champagne or mimosas are endless at these times. In addition to dining in, Cafe Massilia features boxed lunch meals, catering, pick-up and delivery for a variety of occasions.

Great Little Cafe with a Solid Taste of Europe

A must see cafe with a well stocked/priced Sunday brunch. Brings back European memories with both food, service and atmosphere.

Wonderful French food! But the service is the best! Small, cozy with a few tables on the sidewalk outside. After your meal you might want to stroll around Old Town Monrovia.

Café Massilia is worth a visit if you like French food. Some reviews the past couple of years citing poor service or "rude" personnel seem unfounded. Our visit on 5/14/15 was well received. The service was friendly, prompt - considering how busy they were that night - and the food was good. Remember, it's a "café" so expect bistro-like food... More

We made reservation through Open Table for Mother's Day brunch. Although we got a confirmation, we were having a problem with the sign up and called the restaurant just to be sure it went through. At first we were told they were totally booked, but then there was a miraculous opening. When we arrived there was no table for us... More

A friend who is a local to Monrovia recommended this restaurant so I took her advice and met family there for a Sunday afternoon lunch. What a mistake! For a French restaurant that attempts to give off a French vibe they failed miserably in every area. They wouldn't last a single day in France! From start to finish our meals... More

Goodness me, this place is AMAZING! The owner, who is also the only waiter, and sommelier, is from Nice, and kind, friendly, and so knowledgeable. He provided us several recommendations and we were more than satisfied with what he suggested. In addition top-notch service, the food is more than outstanding. There aren't enough positive adjectives to describe how happy we... More

France, one of the largest countries in continental Europe, naturally has regional differences. The Riviera - Cote d'Azur - where Cafe Massilia's proprietor came from has very nice people. Back from a recent trip to the South of France, I tested the food, service and even cultural sophitiscation at Cafe Massilia, Latin for Marseilles. Knowing that famous Marie-Antoinette and hubby... We have not been here for dinner in several months and they have tweaked their menu and invested in more French style serving dishes. They have a very good value "Menu" where you can select from a number of starters, any entrée and dessert. I had the beef Bourguignon which was served in a little enameled cast iron casserole dish,... More

Try the crepes. Really great flavors! Fairly quiet and cozy. We sat and visited for a long time, but never felt pressured to give up our table.

We pop in several times a month when we are missing French food. Cute casual and unpretentious. The menu is not too exotic and there is something for everyone. The owners serve as they do in France which provides a personal touch sadly lacking in most of the U.S.
