Nice small cozy French Restaurant. Very friendly service. Makes you feel right at home. We had the Poulet Dijonnaise on the lunch menu. It's nice size pieces of chicken and rice and greenbeans with mushrooms and the sauce is to die for. My husband even ate the mushrooms and he doesn't like mushrooms. Salad and frenchbread good. Reasonable price for... More

We went here for Easter Sunday Brunch and enjoyed ourselves as there were not as many people as I would have expected. The food was pretty good but, not enough to get an outstanding rating. My wife had the Chef's special quiche which was very good but, just a little overcooked on the bottom. I had the eggs benedict which... More

I love Cafe Massilia! If you want a feel good weekend - go for a 3 course brunch with bottomless mimosas and you will leave a happy camper. Their wine dinner events are affordable and very nicely done as well. They also have excellent French wines for great prices to pair with their superbly crafted entrees for the dinner crowd.... More

If you want authentic Provence French Cuisine, Cafe Massilia is the place to go. Warm atmosphere, wonderful food, and great Proprietor. I most often go for their special holiday events and wine tasting dinners, but their standard menu is excellent as well. My only caveat would be to agree with one reviewer, the bread is not as good as in... More

I stopped in for dinner 12/26 and felt truly welcomed by the owner. I had the pate for a starter, and some excellent mussels. My impression is that the café is run to be an inexpensive French café for locals; it is not true fine dining, but just very good food at a fair price. I wish I had a... More

Such a great dinner place. Service, food, atmosphere perfect. We were met at the front door by the owner who is French. Beer and wine are the only drinks served there. We were not rushed with our meal, It was like being in France! At the end of our meal the owner Gave us a glass of Delightful champagne. What... More

This small restaurant is run by a charming Frenchman, but the food was just average, because of the quality of the ingredients and the preparation. Even though we don't expect large portions in a French restaurant, they were skimpy. There was not good French bread. It did not seem like good value for what we spent on the meal. Monrovia... More

This place is adorable, which is why I gave it four stars. Food rates about 3.5, but the service and cute factor make it a four-star experience. We had a nice bottle of wine to start. And all the appetizers are the same price, as are all of the entrees and all of the desserts. Or you can get one... More

An excellent choice in the San Gabriel Valley. Our recent New Years Dinner included Shrimp, Mussel, Clam Chowder followed by Petral Sole and desert. My wife had a delicious calamari appetizer, trout and pear/ice cream desert. My wife had the every day available prix fixe dinner ($24). I had the New Years Eve Prixe Fixe at $35. Adequate wine list... More

We were in Monrovia for NYE and wanted to have dinner someplace different so I booked a reservation at Cafe Massilia. It's a good thing we had a reservation because the place was packed. It only had about 20 tables, but still. Even with our reservation we had to wait about 20 minutes for our table. It is a very... More
