BEST PLACE EVER

I love this place. Been to many Shabu restaurants and they do not even compare. Mama is one of the sweetest ladies I havr met so that only adds to the experience. I am from MN and I am here often for buskneess. I literally plan my trip so I can hit this place a few times per week. DO... read more

I usually write these reviews 6 months after I visit but not this time. Looking for something sort of healthy I could walk to from my hotel and there I was. Never heard of Shabu Shabu before but hot mama and the gang explained everything. The sauces are from scratch and tasty with fresh veggies and seafood. You swish the... More

Make a reservation because the place always fills up. I wish I could keep this place a secret but that would not be fair to Hot Mama and her crew. They work very hard to make your experience the best. Shabu Shabu means swish swish which is what you do with the beef and veggies she serves cooking them in... More

So, we started off our night in Mission Viejo very hungry. We didn't want to stray far from the hotel and this place was suggested to us. We drove up and there was no one in the place but the help...so we drove off. After further discussion, we decided to come back and give it a whirl. We were all... More

The menu was good, the food tasty and inexpensive. All in all a great value. It's very close to the Ayres, walking distance in fact.

Service was great, as was the food. Prices were typical for a sushi restaurant. We were glad to find that it was still open for lunch, as it was 2PM. Very nice view.

Excellent food, the owner is great and entertaining The service is slow and the ambiance is not what you expect of a Japanese place but is totally worth it just to experience the food and to meet the owner To their credit we were told in advance they were shirt in staff

I was in town for business and had checked out Tripdavisor for a place to eat. I am so glad I found the Shabu in the strip mall on Los Alisos. I took a chance and just walked into the place and was lucky to find an empty stool at the counter. The restaurant is wrapped around an island with... More
