We ate there on Friday night. We both had curry and carrot soup. I then I had the duck breast, while Mrs. NHstu just had a tomato salad. The food tasted great but portions were too small. Maybe some bread could have been offered with soup. We did have a bottle of wine so bill was hefty and found I... More

i am giving it a 5 because the food taste and quality deserves it. it is pricey, but is it too pricey, i think it is fair for what you get. the big compaint is the small inside restraunt space. you are definitely packed in. and the parking SUCKS.. they have a valet but it is still messy. we had... Never a big fan of pricey Pre Fixe menus. However, Wineworks knocked this evening out of the park! What a wonderful surprise to see how this little bistro/wine bar has matured over the years. Can't wait to return for a 'regular' evening of great food, tasty libations and ecletic music. Paul Forney (upright bass -one man band) was a treat!... More

This is not just a wine store. We figured that out after driving by everyday for several years. Reservations are key. Food is incredible!!!

In a small shopping center right next to the freeway is a gem in the Saddleback Valley: Wineworks Restaurant. Watching your pennies, go for the Early Bird tasting and order appetizers; you will not be disappointed. Need a place to take your boss? This is it! Decor, food, atmosphere, ambiance...WineWorks has it all.

This overpriced little restaurant was a real disappointment. The food was standard but high priced fare. The wine list was very misleading. We were charged $12 for a listed $7 glass of wine. When asked for bread the hostess brought a little plate with 4 small slices of bread. Dessert was on the menu but no coffee! Maybe the Irish... More

The owners, a couple, are personable and gracious, the wine list awesome, and the cuisine and service very good to excellent. The prices are high but appropriate. The problem is that the restuarant area itself is so loud that you have to speak very loudly to converse and sometimes shout. Yes, shout. They had a performer the night that we... More

We were delighted to find this wonderful wine bar/restaurant in Mission Viejo. After stopping by for Happy Hour one afternoon and thoroughly enjoying the ambiance and appetizers, we decided try WineWorks for dinner. The space is quite small, so reservations are really necessary on the weekend. Mixed berry and goat cheese salad was terrific. Sara, the sommelier, is so pleasant... More

Owners Jean and Darren make you feel at ease and at home the minute you walk through the door. They take your name and name each of your guests with the reservation and introduction are made before they show you to your table. The waitresses are warm and very accommodating. Day-boat scallops were fresh and perfectly cooked. Brussels sprouts great.,... More

Personally selected wine choices and a great menu. We really enjoyed the attention to helping us choose a wine. And it was great. The owners are planning on opening a gastropub next door and it should be as successful as Wineworks. Fresh ingredients and local.
