Good food

This restaurant is located on the Avenue of the Giants. There are cute little shops around this place. We ordered a large Avenue pizza. The pizza is enormous! There was only 2 of us, so we should have gotten a small or medium. We ordered to go so we could take it back to our hotel with us... read more

I came here after a very long drive from Sequoia National Park. I ordered a sandwich and it was really fresh and tasted great. After seeing the employees making the calzones and pizza, I wish I had a enough room to eat some of those, too! The atmosphere is pretty cramped, but the food makes up for it.

Arrived to town late and were pleased to find this cafe open. Great sandwiches. The pizza looked yummy. Lots of take-out orders. Also serves ice cream and desserts. Too full to indulge in these. Not many options in this town and this one does not disappoint.

On The Avenue of the Giants. Nice little place, food was excellent and staff were great. Little shops on both sides, laid back atmosphere

We stopped here for lunch while touring the ave of the Giants. We had soup and salad. The vegetable soup was as advertised, with a touch of Italian. It was very good with all kinds beans -- black, garbanzo, etc. The pizza at the next table looked good too.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but we had breakfast during our stay at Miranda Gardens (across the street). Definitely good food. Although not exotic, there are a variety of choices, and some vegetarian options as well. Enjoyed eating outside on the patio, although the it could use a bit of landscaping! Would certainly go back! Not a romantic place.... More

Off the beaten path of the speedway that is the modern hwy 101, over on the old hiway in the little town of Miranda is The Avenue Cafe. Really good homemade food at very reasonable prices. We have breakfast here whenever visiting the area. My wife enjoys the french toast with three thick slices of homemade WW grain bread. I... More

We did not plan well when we started driving south through the park, and it was nearly 2pm by the time we reached the Miranda Avenue. Tiny, and nearly all the tables were full. We each ordered a Calzone, and we could not finish them. Yum!

When traveling on US 101 south of Eureka, CA, you must get off the freeway and cruise thru the "Avenue of the Giants." This scenic bypass has several towns, including Miranda, home the "The Avenue." This tiny place is a favorite of the locals, and boasts some incredible food. This time, we shared a spinach/veggie and feta cheese omelette that... More
