The proprietor at the Myers Inn recommended this place and we were so impressed! A laid back atmosphere (as in, nothing fancy) with terrific service. We had cheese ravioli in pesto sauce, manicotti, cheese fries with garlic (yum!), and a green salad. Though we did not order any, we saw loaded pizzas served to other tables and they looked to... The Avenue of the Giants offers few options for finding a meal. Avenue Cafe is a welcome stop for food along the route. All three of us were impressed by the quality of our meals (one of stated that his meatball parmagania sandwich was one the best he every had). The other two of us greatly enjoyed our veggie zone... Don't drive by STOP! Great stop Fresh home cooking with real fresh ingredients. Try the grilled turkey sandwich or the Cobb salad.

The hand spun crust was thin and tasty and ingredients were fresh. The staff was welcoming and made me feel comfortable.

Very handy for our stay in Miranda Gardens however pizza was a big disappointment. The chicken with spaghetti was tasty. Service a little slow.

We headed out from Eureka in the morning and planned to eat in Scotia, but there was no place to get breakfast there, so we just headed down the Avenue of the Giants. All the way to Miranda before we found a place to eat, which was our good luck because we discovered Avenue Café. It seems to be family... More

In the very tourist-trap area of the Avenue of the Giants, Avenue Cafe was surprisingly good. Basic menu of fried appies, soups & salads, sandwiches and pizzas. Had the minestrone soup which, at $3.95, was a full meal and really good! My companion had a club sandwich with side salad and also very good. Nothing extraordinary but darn good basic... More

My husband and I ate the huevos rancheros and huevos verde for breakfast one morning after staying across the street at Miranda Gardens. The verde sauce was made with pork and was delicious. I also enjoyed the potatoes that came on the side. The place itself leaves much to be desired with old cafeteria style tables and chairs as well... More
