We stumbled onto this place and were blown away that such a little cafe would have such great food! We shared an excellent Caesar Salad and one of the best Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches, I think we have ever eaten!

about the only place to eat in town. Everything was freshly prepared. Good pizza and lots of breakfast choices. Try the avacado bacon omlette.

Checked into the Miranda Gardens Cottage - starved and ready for something quick but good. Avenue Café did not disappoint as it had so many pizza options and I am not talking the standard fare. It was decadent.

There are not many restaurants in this 32 mile long state park. The Avenue Cafe is located near the south entrance to the park in the small town of Miranda. On-street parking. Small dining room with tables. Several stools at the counter. Outside seating available. Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner. Menu offers sandwiches, standard and build-your-own pizza and calzones. Several... More

Since there really was no other place around, we too stopped en route while traveling. However, a visit to the ladies room revealed NO HOT WATER from tap. I have since inquired of the restaurant to be told they have a leak, the hot water is off and the employees use cold water to wash their hands. Oy

We stopped here for a bit to eat while camping in Hidden Springs Campground a few miles up the road. The food was good, not great but good, and they did have Gluten Free Pizza. We ate here for dinner, and breakfast on the way out in the morning, and we thought is was nice enough. service was good and... More

We had first stopped at the Benbow Inn for lunch and were completely ignored and given no service so we left and headed for the Avenue Café. There are not any other choices for dining in the area (unless you stop in Garberville which we did not want to do.) We were just passing through and needed to grab something... More

This was a good place to stop on our way to Avenue of the Giants. The service was pleasant. The pizza was nice enough but we have eaten better. It was lovely to sit outside. No complaints but not a "must do".

We actually were staying in Myers Flat, but were very happy that Avenue Cafe was the next town over where we could get a cooked meal! It was a cozy place and the food was good and service was very friendly. Would have eaten there again, but got there too late, unfortunately.
