The portions are a good size. The decor and music keep the kids entertained. We were seated in the back room because we had a large party. The server did not refill the drinks unless requested. We told the hostess it was my husband's birthday but nothing special was done or said. We didn't want to ask the server who... More

I went there for breakfast with my friend. It was a nice and homely place. The staff were very polite and friendly and the food was tasty - the portions were filling (was really hungry). What I noticed and really liked was that the staff were very friendly with the guests and many of them seem to be well known... More

Looking for something different I found Black Bear on TA. Good appearance...cross between Cracker Barrel, Bob Evans, and a trading post. Good portions and good selection...no one is losing weight in this place. Dinner: Soup...tri tips (steak) and ribs. All very good except ribs were very fatty and not worth eating. Apple cobbler was pie in foil. Breakfast: Largest and... More

It's not often I write a review before I even leave the restaurant, but this place is that good. Great menu with lots of variety. Well presented good, friendly staff and immaculately clean. A great find and I will come here again. Close to Cisco, SGI etc so handy for killing time ahead of a meeting.

I was expecting at least great steaks here, but I was a bit disappointed. If you want a decent piece of raw meat, Black Angus is better place. Also service could be nicer and more responsive here. My Rib eye was big, but not tender enough, and was done medium instead of medium-rare, despite my order.

The breakfast was good. Portions were huge, much bigger than expected. I got the homemade sausage patties, they lived up to the description on menu (family recipe). Fresh orange juice was very expensive, $5, and coffee wasn't very good. Overall, a good place to have breakfast.

Good old fashion Amercian cooking. Massive portions, simple food. The service is prompt and comes with a smile. This is just a good classic Amercian Diner that does the basics and does then well.
