While visiting a friend in the Bay Area, she took us to Lai Lai in Millbrae. The best Chinese Food I have had in years. Fresh and tasty. Hot and Sour Soup was top notch; tasty with just the right heat. The pork, beef and vegetable entrees were superb. We were served by Jimmy, the owner, and it was a... More

As many other have noted, this restaurant caters to local patrons, and many families. Service was fine, but the food (advertised as Mandarin) was mediocre; mostly saucy dishes.

This place is great. I have been coming here for years with my family. The food and service are fantastic. Some of my favorites are: chow fun, garlic eggplant, potstickers, hot and sour soup, walnut prawns, dumpling soup, pork buns and broccoli beef. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who has a taste for Chinese.

The food here was good and the portions were generous. The menu is pretty standard, with a few unusual twists on classic Chinese dishes. The atmosphere is casual.

My family have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. We have noticed that the quality of the food has changed the past few times that we have ordered take out or for that matter, ate at the restaurant. Please don;t get me wrong, but we have noticed that the food has not been tasting the same and it has... More

Lai Lai's has been around forever, so locals are familiar with their food and servers. I love coming here when I'm craving traditional Chinese food at a decent price. The prawns with walnuts are amazing, along with the eggrolls and beef and broccoli. The portions are huge, so be prepared! The decor is nothing special, and the service can be... More

Looking for lunch before our flight out of SanFran and picked this Mandarin on a whim out of many asian resturants huddled together. Crispy rice was a unique and awesome treat. My wife had Lemon Chicken and I had Walnut Prawns. Perfectly cooked and truly delicious. Come hungry 'cause the portions are large.

VERYcasual. A little too casual for what i was looking for. Food is good, service is a bit quirky, but overall a decent experience.

We went here yesterday and I am compelled to write a review so if you are looking for a chinese restaurant, you know what you will get if you go here. We were looking for an "authentic" Chinese restaurant near the airport to celebrate our last night in SF. Our usually-reliable Trip Advisor rated this restaurant well, so we went... More
