Going to O Sole Mio has become a tradition for us before flying off to some foreign country out of SFO. It is a small restaurant, kind of hard to find, but worth the search. The food is absolutely fantastic, the portions large, the staff friendly, and the prices are reasonable. You absolutely have to try to the cannolis -... More

The food delicious, owner john actually greets you & waits on tables. Cozy & cute dinner only, no bar. A local secret place.

We went here about 10 days ago as a result of reading some of the Trip Advisor reviews. Upon entry, we were greeted by a harried looking waitress who announced "we're closed" - they close at 9 p.m. and we arrived at about 8:55. Fortunately, the manager (or owner?) saw us and indicated we should stay and pointed u to... More

Friendly, cozy, local Italian restaurant that offers a wide variety of Italian dishes. Have been a patron for at least ten years and have not been disappointed with the quality of the food whether it is to eat in or take out. The food is authentic and delicious--not gourmet. Prices are reasonable. Restaurant is on the small side and conversations... More

We were on our way to eat Mexican food at Rosie's when we learned they didn't serve food that night. Rosie's bartender Tony sent us across the street for an Italian dinner, and it was a wonderful surprise. We lived in Italy for 15 years, and this is "la vera cucina Italiana" -- real Italian cooking, not that ersatz stuff... More

Small family owned/operated neighborhood Italian restaurant. Extensive menus with all of your favorite Italian dishes - and then some. Penne, sausages and peppers was great. Chicken, spinach and penne pasta was wonderful according to my wife. You can tell everything is homemade - it's very good. Look past the artificial flowers and listen to the jukeboxes in the booths loaded... More

This is a simple Italian Restaurant with consistently good basic food (spaghetti, rqvioli, tortellini, various sauces) and portions are generous. There are also meat and vegetarian entrees and some more creative specials, but I usually go for the pasta. The ambiance is friendly and decorated in Italian pergola style with jukebox selectors at many tables that allow diners to select... More

Hubby had the lasagna - I didn't care for it - hubby thought it was just okay. I had the pesto gnocchi which was just okay as well - kinda bland.

We live in Millbrae. Every now and then we give restaurants that have disappointed us in the past, another a chance. We have given O Sole Mio about 4-5 chances by now. Always disappointing. Raviolis taste like they were frozen for too long, chicken is dry and over cooked, pasta is undercooked-NO it isn't al dente, it's undercooked! On our... More
