We traveled to Asia a lot in the 80's and this restaurant is like a trip back in time. Big, loud, gruff service, not too clean, but very good authentic Chinese food. The dinner menu was reasonable, and all our entrees very tasty.

The food was very plentiful and good. The prices were very reasonable. The service could have been a little better but all in all, we liked it enough to go back a second time!

Good service. Good food. The atmosphere was not that nice. It is a huge place. Menu seem to be authentic Chinese food.

I always enjoy going out for dim sum when visiting my friend who lives in the Bay Area. We have tried several places and stumbled across Zen Peninsula while looking for something near SFO. What a great experience! We went on Sunday right before it got crowded. The restaurant is huge and very authentic. The service was great and dim... More

Yes, it is just food, in the words of our 11 year old daughter of our dear friends. But mediocre Chinese food, paired with extremely poor service is a recipe for disaster. We had to ask for water, soy sauce, and mustard, normally standard offerings at a Chinese restaurant. They do not know how to cook shrimp, all under done,... More

Expect the usual rude Chinese service but the dim sum is tops. This is the dim sum experience. Our table ordered 8 dishes but couldn't resist the waitresses with their trays and ordered a couple more. The fried squid was fresh, nicely spiced. Good shui mai and har ghow. Also the tofu dishes were the best I have ever had.... More

Being a Monday night, there weren't too many options for dinner, but the reviews on TA were very good. The place is cavernous and it was nearly empty. The surly waiter wasn't helpful, but everything was handled with speed. While the Cantonese food was adequate, there was nothing memorable. The murky tanks of shell fish at the entrance made the...
