High standard Chinese food

We had eaten here before some years ago and this time was also a good experience. The lounge has a bit of class, classic decor, nice starched table clothes, attentive wait persons, and is very well patronised. We ordered a half of hot and sour soup to begin followed by two main dishes and rice. It... read more

Our hotel clerk indicated that several guests had eaten there and reported the food to be "pretty good." What an understatement. We had dined in San Francisco's China Town on hopes to find a nice location and we're really disappointed. From the minute you walk in the door you can tell you've found a gem. Prompt seating and service, exquisite... More

Be sure to make a reservation because this place is hopping and also go early because although they have parking, it fills up soon especially on the weekends. Don't expect to carry on a conversation for too long. It's a very lively place. Concentrate on the dining part and all will be good.

I used to go here twenty years ago before they were at this grand new location. It's still the same, just much finer digs. A wide selection of cook it now seafood. Did you like the googly eyes on that fish? Yep, bet that means he's tasty - please - cook that one for me. The staff is very professional,... More

and if you get seated not too far from the kitchen, so that the food reaches you before it's all gone from the carts, you will have a fine dim sum lunch. Getting in can also be a problem at night---to the extent that I rarely even try to go at night---but the food is excellent, and the portions are... More

Make a reservation. Order specifically. Entrees are very good as is the Dim Sum. The food is better than 95% of the Chinese restaurants in SF China town. You will enjoy this place. Always crowded.Very attentive wait staff.

Afte a Flight from Ohio we needed refreshment and Millbrae is right across the freeway from SFO. Our choice was the Hong Kong Flower Lounge, always excellent with tanks full of delights from the sea greeting you as you walk in. We had many dishes of all varieties and a special order of fries rice, unlike any I have ever... More

The Hong Kong Flower Lounge is an old reliable Chinese restaurant in Millbrae not far from the San Francisco International Airport, making it a convenient place to dine before outgoing and after incoming air flights. The cuisine served here is authentically prepared and served to a most discriminating clientèle--the Chinese themselves. This is a practical yardstick with which to measure... More

Very good dim sum in the San Francisco area. With the degradation of the dim sum in San Fran China Town, place out in Millbrae close to the SFO airport is a very nice place with good service and good food.

The food is pretty good in the middle of a town filled with Chinese restaurants. PROBLEM: They blatantly cater to the Chinese. If you are not Chinese or do not speak Mandarin/Cantonese, the treatment is distinctly different. Made reservations for 8:00pm, arrived at 7:45pm with an working associate from Dallas, TX. Upon arrival, we thought that we would check in... More
