Was very pleasantly surprised

This place was not fancy at all, which is great, and the food was really good too. Seemed like a very local place and filled with happy customers. My daughter and I had breakfast here on 6/25. Great menu and the food quality was good. Most selections come loaded with pancakes, hash browns, toast, in addition to the main course, so bring your appetite! I was also impressed with the service, especially the coffee guy who came by regularly and remembered my request for brown sugar. Overall, very... More

Not as great as people want it to be, but not bad. Breakfast is decent, but lunch and dinner are pretty much given over to heating up Sysco stuff. The chicken fried steak is atrocious and the gravy comes from a powder.

We thoroughly enjoyed this classic breakfast spot last week. As you walk in the door the you travel back to 1959. This is no re-creation of a retro pancake house; this is the real thing still going strong! The copper-tone lamps and knotty pine walls are a prelude to the great service, endless hot coffee and platters of eggs and... More

We stopped in on the way down to Carmel by the Sea. I had french toast, my husband had blueberry pancakes and my son had corned beef hash. The portions were huge and all of the entrees were tasty and delicious. The pancakes were chock full of blueberries with more on the top. The french toast was texas raisin toast... More

My favorite place in the area for a good, big, fast breakfast. The pancakes are big and good, especially when you ask for the boysenberry syrup! Get the pancakes as your side to replace the toast....what a deal. Service is friendly and fast....great way to get ready for a long plane ride out of SFO.

This place opens at 6:30 AM and the parking lot is already full of people. They are ready to serve when customers walk on the door, hustling and bustling. I was a little worried about sitting down to eat and catching my flight on time but no worries there, I had my food within 15-20 minutes. I opted for the... More

The Millbrae Pancake House is my go-to diner in the Bay. It's got a great old school vibe with semi-open kitchens and wooden booths / furniture. The menu is very extensive with all the usual breakfast items (eggs galore!), plus some lunch items like burgers and sandwiches. Unfortunately I have not tried any of the sandwiches or the burger, because... More

The food was decent; I had the Swedish pancakes w/ lingonberry butter, with a side of hash browns. For the price, the portions were substantial as well. However, the service was something else. Our first server was rude and cold. He didn't smile or greet us, but simply instructed us to follow him to our table. He then disappeared, and... More

Nice old fashioned place!!!! Good American food. Homemade waffles and strawberries were great!! Not a fancy place still looks the same as when they opened in 1954 it seems. Good service!
