Go for the breakfast!

My favorite place in the area for a good, big, fast breakfast. The pancakes are big and good, especially when you ask for the boysenberry syrup! This place opens at 6:30 AM and the parking lot is already full of people. They are ready to serve when customers walk on the door, hustling and bustling. I was a little worried about sitting down to eat and catching my flight on time but no worries there, I had my food within 15-20 minutes. I opted for the... More

The Millbrae Pancake House is my go-to diner in the Bay. It's got a great old school vibe with semi-open kitchens and wooden booths / furniture. The menu is very extensive with all the usual breakfast items (eggs galore!), plus some lunch items like burgers and sandwiches. Unfortunately I have not tried any of the sandwiches or the burger, because... More

The food was decent; I had the Swedish pancakes w/ lingonberry butter, with a side of hash browns. For the price, the portions were substantial as well. However, the service was something else. Our first server was rude and cold. He didn't smile or greet us, but simply instructed us to follow him to our table. He then disappeared, and... More

Nice old fashioned place!!!! Good American food. Homemade waffles and strawberries were great!! Not a fancy place still looks the same as when they opened in 1954 it seems. Good service!

We asked our server at dinner to recommend a good local breakfast restaurant and Millbrae Pancake House was the only recommendation he provided. He did tell us to be prepared to wait but our wait time on Sunday morning around 9am was only 5 minutes, as we left people were lined up out the door. This was a great place... More

well established and an institution when I moved to Millbrae in 1966 and still going strong, almost unchanged. They could borrow the motto of another old-established Millbrae business: they must be doing someting right. Nothing fancy: just pancakes and other breakfast offerings, served quickly and pleasantly in generous portions in the same booths they were using almost half a century... More

Quick service, with fluffy pancakes, and all kinds of other choices of wonderful breakfast ideas. Their Corned Beef Hash was one of the best I've ever tasted, and I've tried many. Portions are huge, so come hungry!

We stayed near here and stopped here before heading to SFO. Oh my, it was take a number time at 8:30 in the morning. Lots of people apparently do take out breakfast but we did manage to get a nice table. Staff was pleasant and didn't make us feel rushed. I usually don't do breakfast but I did the "pigs... More

Walk into this pancake house and you'll experience a welcoming staff and good food. The food was quick to be served and cooked just the way it was ordered. Service was impeccable as our coffee cups never went empty. The only picture I can submit is that of an empty plate, that's a good day.
