Authentic Chinese; fresh made noodles; a fun local ethnic restaurant

I can't wait to go back. The pot stickers were to die for! All of the ingredients were fresh and home made. It is not a fancy place, it is a nice, clean local family restaurant. I dined alone at Chef Wang and they didn't appear to mind serving a single party. This neighborhood Chinese restaurant is an awesome find. The delicious pot stickers (6 to an order) were a ginger infused delight and could have been a meal by themselves. My entree of mushu pork was a light mix of lean pork and cabbage and... More

Chef Wang offers basic Chinese fare, speedy service and moderate prices. Seafood and vegetables are fresh and well-prepared, and the ice cold Tsingtao beer is refreshing. The décor is unremarkable; noise levels were low when we ate there, but we arrived late and had missed the busy dinner hour. Many of the more interesting menu items (we assume) are the... More

We went here at the recommendation of the owner of the hotel we were staying at. It's just across the street (El Camino Real) but not an easy one to cross. The appetizers were quite good--a set of egg rolls with a not-too-sweet dipping sauce. I had a small (read huge) bowl of wor wonton that was very tasty with... More

Stopped here for lunch on the recommendation of our shuttle driver. Nice, local place. Much of the menu is in Chinese and most of the lunch guests were Chinese - a good sign. I went with the mango beef and my colleague had the asparagus beef. Mine was a little light on the meant, but otherwise very tasty. Lunches cam... More

Had a Chinese Combination meal, very pleased with service and price. This is where the local Chinese go to eat, so that says it all !

Stopped here for a quick dinner based on a recommendation from my hotel clerk. Great atmosphere with most patrons conversing in Chinese -- place had a comfortable, neighborhood feel. The food was very good (and the options were nearly infinite), delivered quickly and the staff was friendly and helpful. A nice find for a very relaxing evening on the road.

Food is hit or miss, sometimes its good and sometimes it bad. It needs to be a little more consistent. The service on the other hand is consistently bad. They really need to step it up. No need to be rude.

We were staying overnight at one of the nearby hotels and decided on dinner here. Since we are both vegetarians, we decided this Chinese restaurant would be the best option nearby. When we first walked into this restaurant on a Sunday evening, and it was half-full of Asian clientele, my thought was - "Awesome, we're eating here!" Unfortunately, I cannot... More

On the plus side - the food was fresh and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. But the portions were a bit skimpy and the flavors were nothing to write home about. With the number of really good Chinese restaurants in the Bay Area, the competition is fierce. We had Sesame Chicken and Salt & Pepper Prawns. The chicken was... More
