Amazing deli and bakery! The sandwiches, soups, and salads are wonderful. The bread and pies are made from scratch. Who would've known Merced?

I like Jantz for the small, family atmosphere. You can't beat their food whether it is breakfast or lunch (or dinner) ( The one in Atwater is open for dinner.)

Came here for lunch on a Saturday (they are closed on Sundays) and really enjoyed their tri-tip sandwich and side salad. I also orded a slice of their berry pie -- delicious. Great small restaurant with friendly service.

Been to the Merced location three times for lunch. Tables and chairs are small and crammed together. Noisy and loud. Service not so good-they need to smile with heart more. Pricey for what you get-not impressed at all although for me the location is good. Baked good taste no better no worse than Raleys but cost quite a bit more.... More

Local favorite and sister store from the one in Atwater, CA 20 min away. Homemade baked goodies and B/Lunch fare. Casseroles, bread etc to take home too. Only complaint are the rather small table and chairs in this store

This was my first time here as I live in Oklahoma but my Aunt suggested it so I met her there. We opted for a seat out on the patio. Had the BLT and potato salad. My sandwich was great, the potato salad I couldn't get enough of and if it wouldnt look so ridiculous I would have licked the... More

I've eaten here on a couple occasions. Once for breakfast and once for lunch. Portion sizes are huge but lack flavor. I order a breakfast burrito and it was filled with mostly unseasoned potatoes. The lunches are a little better if you can stand the lines and the noise.

The best chocolate chip and Snickerdoodle cookies on the planet. The cookies are huge, soft, buttery and addictive. Their sandwiches with homemade bread are also terrific. I'm far less enthusiastic about their pies, which don't taste nearly as good as they look. The crusts are great, but the fillings often disappoint.

This is a family operated cafe/bakery, with the original in Atwater, a site in Mariposa, and the newest location in a medical related business park on G Street in Merced - at El Portal. The bakery has great breads, rolls, pies, and other desserts. The menu is limited, but this allows good quality control. Food can be consumed on the... More

Jantz Cafe is nice. It's newer as places around Merced go, clean and inviting. It also has long lines at lunch. I like their food although there's nothing inspiring about it and there are a few things I always ask for substitutions on. I don't use the bakery a lot but what I've gotten there was good. Overall all, decent... More
