I have been to Casa Maya once before a few years ago and I remember it being good. Since we are rarely in Mentone, we decided to have it, based on our previous experience. But no, it was a complete different restaurant. I'm not sure if owners have switched since our last visit but the food was bad. Not only... More

We have been to numerous Mexican restaurants over the years and find most of them lacking. Either they serve bland food or their margaritas are a sweet mix with very little alcohol. Casa Maya is a pleasant exception to this rule. Their margaritas were homemade and packed a punch. We asked for the food to be extra spicy to which... More

Good service, tasty food. Different then the typical Mexican food. The flavors are a bit strong on some items. Staff was frendly.

We were going here atleast once a week, loved the owner and his wife, stopped going here after he hired a very very rude waitress infact most of his servers aren't very good! So after a couple bad times and every telling the owner she was still there won't go back...sorry but food isn't that great I will stick to... More

The ambience is ordinary, but the food is extraordinary. I think it's the combination of organic ingredients, being family owned and operated, and unique options that makes this place great. I was born in East LA, but have lived in the IE for nearly 50 years. This place is my favorite.

Chips and salsa, yum! Love the black beans and black bean soup. Then to finish is the fish tacos...the best!

We go here often. Try the Ropa Vieja. It is really good and comes with their excellent white rice, beans and plantains. Yum!

Years ago I was told that this place is good. After deciding to finally start patronizing the local places, I read reviews here. Since we live so close, I knew we had to try it. It is a very homey local cafe type place. Plastic laminated menus with new prices taped over top old ones. I decided to try the... More

We recently visited my sister and her husband in Redlands. I had read reviews here so suggested we try it. They had never been but say now they will go often. Salsa and chips - awesome Burritos were as big as I have ever seen and also delicious. One member of our party had chicken enchiladas and loved them. The... More

Must try, lots of organic ingredients, awesome carne asada, pickled onions are out of this world!!! Margaritas are great too, and only $4.50. This place is a great spot for casual dining and an extremely good meal.
