A great casual neighborhood beer, burger, and brunch place

Ahh...The Dutch Goose. It would be easy to go here for lunch on Sunday and end up staying through dinner with the right company. The food is everything you'd expect from an establishment as local and atmospheric as this one. Good food options for vegetarians, the no red meat crowd, and the good... read more

The food is everything you'd expect from an establishment as local and atmospheric as this one. Good food options for vegetarians, the no red meat crowd, and the good draft beer crowd a like. As a long time Menlo Park resident I've always known that the Dutch Goose is a great spot for burgers and beer. It's a fun place to watch sports, play pool and hang out after a game. What I didn't know until last weekend was that the spicy deviled eggs are off the charts. I would have never considered ordering... More

I can always rely on the Dutch Goose for a lively atmosphere, a great burger and a friendly crowd. Mixed age group where parents dine with kids, teenagers come along on their own.

So we're fortunate enough to live 3-4 blocks away from 'The Goose' which is a neighborhood institution so we we get up there quite frequently and often with our four children in tow! When I say 'it will surprise you' that is exactly what I mean..it's family friendly despite its look inside/out it is perfect for kids and there is... More

I live in the neighborhood, and I've been many times. In fact, I've been going since the early '80s, and I've watched The 'Goose getting better every year. The burgers and deviled eggs and clams and peanuts have always defined good time fun food at the 'Goose. But in the last decade a new wonderful owner made some amazing adds... More

The bucket of clams, turkey burger and sweet potato fries are the bomb. With a pitcher of beer! What more can you want?

Nice place to watch the game or shoot some pool or just get together w/ friends. Reasonable prices.....they don't charge xtra for every lil thing u want added onto the hamburger. I hear th Devil eggs are the best.

I live 5 blocks away, so I end up here 3 or 4 times a year for the last 15 years. The atmosphere is grungy and casual, but it is populated by a lot of Silicon Valley professionals who like slumming it. The food has improved markedly over the last 25 years, but is still not high-end. A reliable burger,... More

This is your average beer and burger place where you get a average beer and pub style burger . The staff are rude and not pleasent to deal with at all . I guess they don't think customers coming in help their jobs ??? Right ??? I would probably go again . I would just say something to rude people

Let me first say, this is not a "foodie" spot or any close to a tourist trap. This is our local dive and we really enjoy it. The place is ridiculously casual, has indoor and outdoor dining (and even something sort of in between indoor and outdoor) at booths, tables and picnic tables complete with a pool table and small...
