Good food

I've visited Dutch Goose since I was a kid. My step-dad would bring us here for lunch on the weekends. Although the last visit wasn't as fun as it used to be. Now it's too crowded (before we would be the only ones there!). The food is still as good, but the noise, crowd, and lack of seating due... read more

This place is an institution and makes one of the best burgers around. But it is the atmosphere that is really special. In contrast to the wealth and splendor of Atherton and Menlo Park, the Dutch Goose apologetically serves good burgers in plastic baskets to be consumed on wooden benches. Great.

My family went there after it reopened for a couple of days. Wish we didn't go as they weren't ready for the grand opening as people were standing waiting over an hour for simple food! It's a popular local joint & I wonder if DG takes it for granted & becomes arrogant? This place is partially updated, but not much... More

I was hoping that the burgers would be excellent but they're just okay. The sweet potato fries, on the other hand, were delicious! Large, tender and seasoned just right. YUM! This is a very casual eatery. Feels like a pub (lots of beer and wine) that decided to sell food. They let customers carve their names into the walls by... More

Came for lunch with my grandchildren. I've been eating here since the early 70s when my husband was in grad school. Burgers are the best but the deviled eggs are to die for. By grilled cheese is good as are the muscles. Have never had a bad meal here. Gets very busy at lunch and the evenings so send one... More

We usually hang out at the Duck Blind where the outdoor patio is located. They finally finished renovation and reopened last weekend. The women's bathroom is brand new and so spacious and clean inside to meet wheelchair and handicap codes. It's a burger joint, but now they just started serving pizza. Try it out for yourself. The Bloody Mary's are... More

This is a burger joint, vastly cleaned up from 50 years ago when I first saw the place. It was a student & workmen's watering hole & a neighborhood fixture. The students have grown up & their kids & grandchildren still go back. It's a popular at lunch, after games, & when you're hungry & thirsty, with burger-brats-chili-sandwiches-salads-draft beers, including... More

Came here after a suggestion from local landlady. The staff were friendly, and I had barely sat down before my food was ready. The burger was all one could ask for with plenty of relish.

This place used to be mainly a peanuts-on-the floor sports bar, full of testosterone and not much in the way of edible food. This has changed in multiple ways--including, surprisingly good (simple) food and a number of decent wines (!) on the menu. I've found that while the diversity of clientele and menu items has added to the attraction for... More

Bait and Switch! Buyer Beware! Their website Says certain pitchers of beer are $14 BUT at the back bar where you buy beer they charges $17 what a clip joint! I called them on it and the un professional Bartender said "We haven't updated our website" Hey that's your problem! Just a lousy experience. You have been warned
