great service; crispy fish n chips

For a fast food place, the service is tops. It follows a casual dining concept in which order first, place the given number plaque at your table, the server brings the food to your table. Usually, these formats don't traditionally provide good service. At cook's seafood, you get good service. At... read more

This place has been at the corner of El Camino and Roble in Menlo Park for many many years - and the quality is still there! We always get their chowder, but they also have great fish and chips as well. You can dine in or take out. There is always a pretty good crowd at lunchtime. The New England... More

The fish mongers at Cook's are so helpful and knowledgeable. They will recommend you come back instead of buying your fish early.

Just the best non greasy fish and chips around wether you have cod of halibut. We always add the side of crunchy steamed vegetables. If you do not want chips they have a grilled fish platter served with rice or shrimp and crab salads. Very reasonable priced and we have always found the staff very pleasant. They have a treat... Whenever we want to get fresh seafood there is not better place than Cook's in Menlo Park. There are two sides, the restaurant and then there is the fish market. I mainly go to the fish market side as that is where the fresh seafood is. The people behind the refrigerator are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They will still smile... More

If fish & chips is what you crave, look no further!! I don't live in the area anymore but my family still does so when I get a chance to visit, this is the first stop. The batter is perfectly blended with the Alaskan halibut (or cod if you're on a budget). My family orders their largest order of fish... More

It's a fish house after the American classical fashion. They have fresh fish. They cook it honest and plain. I love places like this. Had the flounder and the clam chowder. The chowder was very plain, but lots of clams, a medium thick base, straight down the middle. The flounder was fresh and tasty. Not giant portions, quaint environment, good... More

Totally not what we were expecting. The fish was deep fried and very oily. Not a place I would return to.

Lots of different varieties of fish and chips, including local fresh fish. Good steak fries too. Next door you can buy fresh fish too.
