Best Burgers near Stanford -- a Stanford institution

The O has the best burgers in town. A must if you are visiting Stanford or are anywhere in the vicinity. Good sports bar and outdoor seating available.

I've been coming to the Oasis ever since I was an undergraduate at Stanford. It remains consistent in all respect: great burgers, great place to hangout during the day, after work, after a game or anytime.

Some of us met here outside in the beer garden for lunch. I ordered a hamburger and chips. The meat was good and very filling. It was a great place to meet with TVs outside for those who wanted to watch games. Prices were good. Plenty of parking too.

Fun, non-pretentious place. Just good food and drink. Service with a smile. Burgers and sandwiches are great. Try the Philly cheesesteak. One of the best west of the Mississippi.

Love this place for great burgers sandwiches & awesome pizza. Grab a beer & some peanuts and watch the game while waiting for your delicious food to be ready. Locals have been enjoying The Oasis for years after sports (youth, adult or Stanford), after work, to watch a game with friends (or strangers), for a family meal at a long... More

Check your pretensions at the door at the Oasis. On your left are a couple of Stanford students out on a date. On your right a well known venture capitalist treating his teens to burgers and fries. This is where Stanford alums and locals hang out for solid burgers, great fries and a causal goodtime.

Came in late evening with no wait, you order/pay at the counter, separate counter to order beer. Lots of TV's for watching sports, pinball, some outdoor seating. We had burgers and Reuben's, both hit the spot. Pizza is also available. Nice college hangout, good for groups.

I have been going to this restaurant and bar for 54 years and look forward to another 54 years. The food is still as outstanding as it was in the '60s.

We have gone to The Oasis a number of times. My first trip was with a large family group which was quite fun. We have also gone as a couple. It is good for burgers and beer. They also have good pizza and sandwiches. Its a fun place and used to be a Stanford Legend and in some ways continues... More

They make a great hamburger.lots of TV's for watching sports. It was during the week so it was pretty quiet. No big sporting events. Their pizza was pretty good too.
