Ten years ago our friends in Palo Alto brought us to Carpaccio to show us how good life was hereabouts. Then we moved to Menlo Park three years later. There are at least a dozen restaurants within walking distance of our home. I rate Carpaccio at the top in a crowded field. We've been here a dozen times. We'd come... More

This is an old school restaurant that seemingly has been serving family italian meals in downtown Menlo Park since forever. Unfortunately, the food and service feels like that as well. Uninspired, unless you like your italian food out of can, hence spagettios, is the most optimistic way to describe the quality of the food. It is simple standard family italian... More

We have been to this restaurant many times. The food and service is good and consistent. It's more of a locals place.

I am never disappointed with the food and service at this place. Good wine selections, ambiance, and delicious food are what I like best in a restaurant, and this has it.

Our family have been coming here for decades and will not be back after our dinner on 2/22/14. The service was poor and the food was perfunctory at best. At least the drinks were still good! as another review said, "nothing good lasts forever"

This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. Unfortunately the service and food have declined to the point of no return. Guess nothing good lasts forever.

I sought out this restaurant for its namesake specialty. That was the only part of my meal I found disappointing. The beef was so thinly sliced it disintegrated when you went to pick it up and was accompanied by dots of horseradish sauce, capers, onions and other things that are traditional but in such quantity that I couldn't really taste... Elegant setting, terrific Italian cuisine, with a broad menu. A bit pricey and dressy, but large and spacious with professional service and lively bar. Reservations recommended at peak hours.

This is a lovely small place in Menlo Park less than a mile from the Stanford campus. Large italian menu with a great ambiance. In season the front of the restaurant opens up to create a garden like dining setting. Its located on a quiet street in Menlo Park just off their small town main street. We had a table... More

Nice ambience. Welcoming aromas. Friendly and efficient service with traditional Italian food. We loved the Italian meatball soup, Caesar salad, bombetta ( a baked cheese soufflé salad), and the special of the week carbonara. Quite a popular local restaurant. The soup was especially good, with a whole meatball obviously made by Nonna ( grandmother). The bombetta was unique and had... More
