California living in the heart of Menlo Park!

There is something about Borrone's that makes it feel a bit special: it is both laid-back yet feels more "high-end" than other cafe type places. The staff is generally pretty nice and hard working and slightly quirky. Food tends to be good-to-very-good though a bit on the pricey side over the last couple of years with $10-$12 sandwiches that generally... More

Atmosphere is nice - great with really nice outdoor seating and plenty of it. Unfortunately rain or sprinkles aren't unusual here and when that happens the seating inside becomes way too contested. It's sad to watch folks with mobility impairments try to get to a table when they're crowded. The food is good and portions are reasonable, not generous. Service... More

Lovely spot to sit outside or inside. I like to meet friends here any time of day. I think the lunches are a bit pricey compared to other local venues, but the outdoor seating can't be beat.

A must visit of Menlo Park. This casual spot has fantastic, creative, healthy (lots of veggie ingredient) dishes with great flavor. The coffee is great and the breakfasts are really special. Try the eggs with feta & spinach or waffles with a side of applewood sausages, and you won't be disappointed! Lunch is good as well, but the gold is... More

Not many places worth going to in Menlo Park but Cafe Borrone is consistently good for breakfast and lunch. It's a casual, family friendly, upscale coffee house.

Enjoyed lunch here while visiting family. Very nice atmosphere and presentation of selections. Extensive menu and impressive desserts. Food was fresh and generous portion. A step above Panara or similar chain cafés.

We go to Borrone every other week, or at least once a month. We love the indoor and outdoor seating even though it does get super crowded. I love their food... But I must say that the best options are really the breakfast items (the number one eggs are to die for, the fresh squeezed Orange juice is the best... More

Love coming here for breakfast. Food is great and the expansive patio is a must for eating outside and people watching. Baked goods are so fresh. I recommend the berry streusel muffins. Egg scrambles are also great. Have never had a bad meal here.

This is a wonderful restaurant or upscale coffee house located in the heart of Menlo Park, California. I serves interesting dishes that make one keep coming back for more. It at the end of Santa Cruz Avenue located next to a wonderful book store. The food is healthy and good, with excellent proportions.
