Feeling nostalgia for Generalissimo Franco?

Please read the review from the lawyer mom with twins, as it is as amusing as it is accurate about the "rules" and service. Maybe also read a five star review or so too to balance it out. Usually very good food, albeit pricey, at Iberia. But served in the atmosphere of Spain when it was ruled by... read more

Our son took us as a Mothers Day gift for tapas and drinks one evening. They will not reserve tables. There were 5 of us: our son, his wife, and three parents in our seventies. My husband and I arrived a little before 6PM. We told the hostess there would be 5 of us. She said we had to wait... More

After 10 years we decided to try Iberia again. Big mistake. I can't remember worse food and service. We started with gazpacho. At Iberia is is a vile concoction of almond liquid which was tepid. We rejected it and asked for the tomato gazpacho...you know, the kind the world recognizes as gaspacho It was thin and tasteless and had none... More

Iberia Restaurant in Menlo Park is located beyond a railroad and kind of hidden from traffic, but once you find it, you will never forget it. I discovered it a few years ago only because I was looking for a parking spot and found it just outside Iberia restaurant. It was a warm Autumn day, people were eating "al fresco"... More

The restaurant is tucked behind some trees and there isn't a bright sign to indicate the location of the restaurant. As I entered, there was fantastic music playing that instantly created a different vibe. Also, the decor had a traditional feel with lots of wood chairs, tables, and accents around the bar. There was a fire place burning small logs... More

Unfortunately for us, it was the only open restaurant for July 4 dinner. We celebrated my daughter's Birthday with my elderly parents, who are locals and are not able to travel too far. Service was beyond horrible. We asked for the water twice, bottle was placed, but water not poured in the glasses. There was no change of the dirty... More

This is a long running private owned establishment, where the traditional Spanish favorite is the hit. Good: if you are in for the authentic taste of Spain, you won't be disappointed Bad: it is a little outdated, not the new "in thing" Why I like it: the food is well prepared, service team is knowledgable, (not hip), and tradition is... I have eaten in the restaurant, tapas bar, and little cafe on the side. The paella in the restaurant is delicious. (So is the Sangria.) It is a beautiful setting. The atmosphere, whether you're in the elegant restaurant or cozy tapas bar, is wonderful. I love shopping and eating lunch in the little cafe. Don't miss the little cheese biscuits.... More

We enjoyed the food here & service was good. Around the bar, they have some small tables & around 6pm we had no problem getting seated. The bar area serves tapas but the main dining room does not, so when making reservations or thinking of dining here, note that. The vegetarian tapas items were nice - we had mushrooms, cabbage...
