Firstly, this is a great restaurant. Service is exceptional and deserving of 1 star Michelin, We had exceptional friendly and knowledgeable service from our server Jessica and our sommelier Julie. Very accommodating and really unpretentious. The food was a bit disappointing. It was excellent food but lacked the creativity you would expect from 1 star Michelin restaurant. There was nothing... Madera Restaurant is located on Rosewood and Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park. A fairly new hotel and restaurant catering to the Silicon Valley and Stanford crowds. A beautiful, spacious location with a terrace overlooking the foothills. Great view, large open kitchen and dining area, beautifully furnished. My wife and I joined another couple who had purchased dinner at a... More

I have Celiac Disease and must maintain a strict gluten free diet, and the Madera always rises to the occasion. I recommend calling before and placing your order with Matt, the thoughtful and knowledgeable manager! He is well versed in Celiac needs and always walks me through the menu, item by item, to tell me what is gluten free (or... More

Place to be entertained or to entertain clients. Food is good and scenery is great. Service was a little slow. View and location is fantastic.

4 of us ate here on a recent business trip. It is a stunning location and a must visit place. We were seated on the terrace and it was a great evening. The menu is quite short but varied. Three of us had prawns for starters. They were good large cold prawns - but nothing special and basically just prawns... More

Wow, I had the veal shank with bone marrow - like golden buttery heaven! Incredible. Lost control of one of my shanks & it was swiped up off the rug within 45 seconds without skipping a beat! No worries here. Fantastic atmosphere, large open space room in the foothills of the Coastal (Warner) mountain range. Great, but $$$ wine list.... More

Dined here as part of a business meeting. Atmosphere was very nice. Service was very good and highly attentive. Food selections were good, however, prices were extremely high for lunch service. I had a chicken caesar salad which was good but nothing extraordinary. Others had a variety of salads and seafood selections. Most significant draw here for me is the... More

We went for drinks at bar on Sunday afternoon. Service was slow. It took 25 minutes and three reminders before we received the snacks to the table. Also, after waiting 15 minutes for the bill, we had to walk to the bar and pay there. I sent them private feedback using Ownerlistens, but never heard back, although I know they... More

This was the first time I went there based on the recommendation and I was totally blown away with the fantastic view. Service was excellent and really enjoyed the wine on the patio. Food was quite good and it was one of the best evenings I enjoyed.

I've been to the Rosewood bar many times for drinks and lunch. This was my first visit to the restaurant, Madera, for a family birthday celebration (21 and 55). Part of this review is for the bar (which I LOVE for lunch and late afternoon cocktails). We arrived at 5:30 p.m. Perfect for sitting on the patio. We had a... More
