Snacks before meal were included and very good. Main dish was also tasty, not just ordinary Mexican food
I went here tonight for the first time with my girlfriend. It was emptying out as we god there (8pm, Wednesday), and we sat next to a pretty loud table, but other than that all was good. They started us off with a nice appetizer of chips, guacamole, and taquitos. I ordered the hanger steak, my girlfriend had the seafood... More
First visit to this restaurant and WILL be back! I agree with the other reviews that the restaurant is a bit small and crowded, however we called ahead and made a reservation and requested a table that would accommodate a stroller and we fit in. The service was a little slow, but we weren't in a rush and this didn't... More
Cafe del Sol is small and crowded but wonderful. Very tasty Mexican food at a reasonable price. The mojo de ajo (garlic sauteed shrimp) is particularly good. The Sangria is good too. We live in Redwood City but come here regularly.

Cafe Del Sol is a little cramped - multiple small rooms - but the tastes are bright and clean. The wine list and sangria is... More
This is our go to restaurant for lunch- The food is good ( Dinner is even better with a larger menu). Service is friendly, sometimes a little overwhelmed and the noise level can be a little high. My favorite items- any kind of burrito and Chicken Mole ( only available at dinner). Their tortilla chips are freshly made and delicious.

Luckily, many of the ingredients are the same no matter what you get, including the tasty rice, beans, and salsa fresca. The enchiladas de mariscos are my favorite, with... More
The staff is friendly and the food is authentic. Had a lovely meal here last week. Strongly suggest the chicken mole.
My husband and I ate here on a Saturday afternoon with our son and his family. We loved the food - it was fresh and tasty. The service was excellent! There is a green salsa that they serve here with chips and the other more typical salsa - you have to try it! It's amazing. The menu selections are traditional... More
