this place has Californian cuisine. The food is delicious, very good quality and not super expensive. Everything we had was good: pate, duck confit, soup, bread, fish... And desert! Bon appetit.

Great food, sweet location in a garden just off the main drag. We enjoyed the nettle soup, crab cakes, lamb shank, and spinich-mushroom crepe.

Albeit, it was a Monday night, but if you're open and serving guests, a restaurant should put out at least a good service. My wife and I experienced our first major culinary disappointment in this "left-of-Berkeley" bastion of locavores - Mendocino, CA. We've been escaping here for long weekends in this coastal paradise, 3 hours north of San Francisco for... More

Located in a lovely old home, the menu was simple but quite lovely. We had the duck and the chicken. I would say the best rest. in town. Nice wine list. Try the beet salad, yummy

This place is a tiny bit hard to find. It seems like it's in a converted home, a little bit away from the busy parts of Mendocino. I promise you that it's worth the effort to seek it out. The food is just plain outstanding. If you're there for lunch, I strongly recommend the Bouillabaisse - it's simply fantastic. The... More

Founded by Margaret Fox, who was once lionized by the New York Times "in the same breath" as their restaurant critics lionized Alice Waters, of famed Chez Panisse. Margaret is no longer the proprietor, but some of her magic is still there, kept alive by the dedication of the current staff. Having owned a B&B in town since 1985, I've... More

The food at this little café was delicious. I had free range chicken with white cheddar risotto and a lemon grappa crema. It was wonderful. We were there in March (near the end of the off-season) so we were able to walk in without a reservation, but we understand this place gets very crowded during the season, and we can... More

My wife and I had dinner here on our West Coast Roadtrip from Seattle to San Francisco, with our stop-over in Mendocino. Cafe Beaujolais came highly recommended and we looked forward to our dining experience. The setting was quaint and we loved the intimate dining room. We were graciously welcomed and seated. Our order was promptly taken and that's when... More

Everything was just right! One single waitress flowed from the reservation desk through the dining area solo and made sure that everyone was taken care of. Her attentive behavior and attention to detail were impressive. The food was impeccable from the appetizers to dessert. The seared tuna and chicken fois gras were amazing as were the other dishes that my... More
