We stayed at the McCloud River Inn and did not get into town until 8pm and apparently the town rolls up it's sidewalks at 8pm (even on a Friday night)!!! We thought we were going to have to drive 15 minutes or so to Mt. Shasta for dinner when we came across the McCloud River Lodge sign that still had... More

Not sure what happened in December, but the usual very good food at the River lodge was not tasty. All four of our meals were below par. Waitress was friendly, but useless. Luckily the TV's and jukebox were working. We'll be back, hope the regular chef will be too.

Unfortunately we ordered take away- unfortunate because it was then to late to return the "food" that we got. We ordered the "alfredo" angel hair pasta which was just a lump of badly cooked cheap stuck together noodles in a sauce which tasted like milk and water- no flavour or seasoning at all. There was a chunk of cheese jammed... More

This is the first restaurant I have ever been in where I walked past the bar, found a young man in shorts, t-shirt and high-top sneakers playing the piano beautifully underneath a large screen television that was playing the Monday night football game, and behind him was a pool table in use. We ventured into the dining room but had... More

I traveled with my friend to Mc Cloud for a retreat. We wanted to share a room with two beds. McCloud River Lodge did one better - a room with two bedrooms. Pretty nice. The prepared breakfast served in the dining room was a real treat. In the evening some kind of baked good was waiting the return of us... More

We stayed at the McCloud Rv Resort and was given a free complimentary drin by the restaurant. The food was good and the atmospere was rustic. From outside you have a beautiful view of the mountain.

According to the folks at our hotel, this was the only place serving dinner on a Wednesday. It was OK. Service was good. Food was just fine. Nothing fancy or special. Comfortable seating and not too noisy when we were there.

The bartender and host was a mine of useful information on places to go and things to do on our travels. We took her advice and it proved to be good. Had a really good burger an beer. Really enjoyed iy

We stopped in at this restaurant -bar which is in the historic town of McCloud, California. The bar is frequented by friendly locals (always a good sign) as well as parched travelers. The place has a rustic theme being that it's been there close to forever. The décor is old wooden walls and timber beams with a huge cast iron... More

We ate at this restaurant with misgiving because of the recent poor evaluations. There was a massive power failure over the entire area at dinner time and this was the only place serving dinner! We were pleasantly surprised at the effort the staff put forth to be friendly and provide great service. We ordered the lasagna and two green salads.... More
