The place charges $100 to reserve a table + $ 50 to reserve oysters. If you come in early when they open at 9 am, you only pay $5/person with free table. If you come late, you take the chance of not getting a table and a reservation may be worth the price. Each table has a barbeque grill. Although their... More

This was a favourite place of ours for many years but sadly in the last few years it has been "discovered" and the crowds you encounter during the weekends have made the place a Coney Island. Used to be quiet and unassuming. Now piped in music, too many people, too many tables and I heard (can't say it is true)... More

I would definitely reserve a table, best in the front row by the beach on the right of the oyster bar. Bring everything you need to supplement as many oysters as you can shuck and swallow. We had a party of about twelve and ate for four hours: raw and lightly barbecued (there is one at each table). An experience... More

Visited before 12 am, no guests, but quite a lot after 1 pm, mostly family gatherings, robust gears, excellent oysters, you have to open them yourself if you like them raw, if grilled they open themselves;) Staff is basic, but friendly - no fancy proposals - just tell us what you want - cash only - price is not the... Unfortunately this place has turned into a tourist trap. The price for a dozen oysters has gone up to $20, from $10 several years ago. I can get freah oysters at tge local farmers market for less. Also you have to pay $5 a person to eat the oyster at the picnic area. This rwally adds up if you have... More

I was just here for a wedding rehearsal lunch and didn't know what to expect. I learned that it was established in 1909. Rustic picnic benches and tables. Some with umbrellas. There are BBQ's for you if you don't care for the raw oysters, or for more taste varieties. All sizes of oysters. Just tell them how you like them... More

Cool place, great experience for us as first time shuckers. My girls, 9 and 7, ate more oysters than me. Lime, tapatio and you are in heaven. Would be even more fun with a large group. Would return in a moment.

They have fab oysters, We stop here each year to get a week's worth. Much better than (former) Drake's Bay. Many picnic tables and large groups. Nothing but the freshest shuck-yourself raw oysters, but have great view, many picnic tables, grills and sauces. Be sure to bring a cooler. They provide free cubed ice.

My son and daughter showed the three kids how to BBQ oysters one foggy afternoon. It was the first time the three kids learned how to BBQ oysters. My son, daughter, and wife enjoyed the BBQ oysters. Myself and the three kids didn't partake in the BBQ oysters. Maybe, next time?

The best oyster place around. The site is really nice and clean, tables available. So you can eat there or take them out. You can buy just a few oysters or dozens. We bought 2 dozen and took them home to enjoy. The staff is really great. The selection is also wonderful from X-Small to Large oysters. The tanks are in... More
