Great Spot - BBQ Oysters Superb

I was told by some friends to try the bbq oysters here. Not ever having had oysters cooked this way before i was sceptical but they were superb. Poached in their own juice and then a little special sauce - paired with a the crab salad an excellent lunch. Even their cappuccino was excellent! They... read more

Arrived here just as dinner service started after a big day exploring the area. We were disappointed as another place nearby that had been recommended wasn't open on a Monday so stopped here on impulse. We are glad we did. The BBQ oysters were delicious - I usually like my oysters plain and simple but these were perfect. Fresh and... More

Place had a neat ambience and a great view of the bay but I didn't think the food was anything special for the price. No complaints about the service or the friendliness of the staff. Everything was handled in an efficient manner but it was just a normal restaurant. They did have a pretty neat "Bait Shack" out on the... More

I would recommend it for lunch or early dinner, unless you are a skilled driver on winding roads, at night. The locals are familiar with the road, but if you're a first timer, then stick with day light as it is pretty winding. The Fish & Chips and Cioppino dishes were outta this world. They have a great wine and... More

Nicks Cove, long one of my favorite places to celebrate special occasions, has made a sharp downward turn. Last night's birthday dinner was a crashing disappointment. Not to mention a really expensive one -not worthy of the substandard cuisine. The once elegant vinaigrette on the grilled romaine salad has been replaced by a thick off putting dressing that overpowers what... More

We stayed a night in Marshall at a local B & B. We booked a table at Nick's Cove thinking we would have a really great meal. It was a disappointment given the cost. I had a dozen oysters at $32 and my wife had the local fish. We shared a small salad. The oysters were good but on the... More

Danny Danny Danny. I don't care how many times I've been there or how few times I've been there danny has always remember who I am and treated me like I'm the best customer he ever had. This guy is really awesome at his job and he's a perfect mixologist for the location. This place needs somebody to run a... More

As always as a regular infrequent visitor Danny greeted me as I walked in "by name." Remarkable. I don't know how he is able to do it. So many people and I felt like a king. Aside from the name game he is remarkable and knowledgeable in the bar. He is the go to guy. Awesome bar menu. Oysters are... More

Its a long drive out to Nicks but beautiful countryside and coast line all the way. The restaurant is right on the water with a long dock that has a small hut that you can take your food out to. Cozy atmosphere, expansive view and a great fireplace in the restaurant. We started with the Oyster sampler, They were good... More
