I agree with the previous review that "THEY ARE NOT TRYING HARD". I got laid off from work last week but had promised my son to take him to Yosemite. We stayed two nights in Mariposa and at the hotel clerk's recommendation tried Savoury's for dinner one night. My son ordered mahi-mahi which was not worth the "market price ($$$)"... more

This is definitely the trendiest food place in town but it also knows it to the point where it feels like they aren't trying that hard. The food was nice - my parents had a lovely mushroom soup and we split an interesting starter of bacon-wrapped figs, but in all honesty they weren't as interesting in flavor as they were... more

I am a local and have eaten at Savorys numerous times. Some dishes are better than others, some nights are better than others, but overall the food is good, especially when compared to the other more tourist-trapy places in town. They have changed locations and now have much nicer environs. I did go once when flies were a problem (as... more

We ate here both nights during our stay in Mariposa and were not disappointed on both occassions. The decor is contemporary and airy, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was of a good standard, especially the trout special and the scallops. It was also nice to have a soup or salad included with the main meal.... more

We stayed in Mariposa during a recent vacation to Yosemite with my fiancé and a friend. After flying in from Florida to San Francisco and then driving to Mariposa we drove down Main Street and picked Savoury's because it looked nice and we were looking forward to a good meal to start our vacation. When we walked in we were... more

Can´t understand that nearly everybody praises this restaurant. I had the linguine pasta and it tasted - nothing! My husband ate meat and I think it was a better choise. The good grades for Savoury´s just tell that the other restaurants in Mariposa is worse. more

While staying in Mariposa I stopped by for breakfast one morning. Had a delicious omlet and hot tea for less than ten bucks. The restaurant itself is the nicest in town--looks like it should be in a bigger city, tastefully decorated and so forth. I highly recommend. more

We made a reservation as we walked along in the early evening and then came back and were seated quickly at the relevant time. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent! We ordered the Portobello Mushroom, which were going to order one each, but the waitress told us it was a very large portion and if we were... more

This is a fairly small place on the main drag in Mariposa. We had a very brief wait for a booth on a hot Sunday night after Labor Day. The menu had a variety of tempting choices. I picked the glazed pork chops and I was not disappointed. The dinner was wonderful. I should also mention the excellent bread. The... more

We were visiting Yosemite for our anniversary and stayed in Mariposa. As we walked the main strip, this was the most enticing restaurant, with little wait time and a great ambiance. I ordered the scallops and they were so big I would compare them to half-dollars or bigger. The garlic cream sauce was so tasty, along with the rest of... more
