Whenever I dine out I am looking for a place that feeds my body and spirit. This fit the bills! The food was creative, yet classic. Often I find myself judging a place by the burger and this was the best I could have desired. Perfectly cooked, with blue cheese...loved it! The local flavor was wonderful as characters came in... We were weary after a long drive up the Central Valley to Mariposa on the way to Yosemite National Park. The Sugar Pine food was good, served quickly, and the staff were nice. What more would you want. Highly recommended.

i have eaten both breakfast and lunch at Sugar Pine and both were very good with a good portion. Oh, and if your up to it, the root beer float hit the spot too. The service was ok with the waitress looking lost and forgetful.

On our way back to my son's house from Yosemite we decided to stop in Mariposa and have Breakfast , as well as browse around town for a while. The decor of this restaurant / cafe / diner is absolutely charming . . . it kind of takes you back in time. The cost of the breakfasts were definitely reasonable... More

We are taken to this restaurant on the main strip of Mariposa by local friends for breakfast. It was so good, we had to come back next morning for another breakfast. The food was typical coffee shop varietals, such as eggs, hash brown, pancakes, sausage and bacon- but the ingredients were fresh and the way they cooked was not greasy... More

This is not a big place and we had to sit at the counter as all the tables were occupied. Just the other side of the counter was the cooking area so we could watch our food being cooked, which was entertaining and also reassuring regarding hygiene etc. The food was tasty, well cooked and reasonably priced. Would definitely visit... More

The moment you walk in, you feel like Debbie has been waiting for you all week. We've never been there before, but she's just so welcoming and thoughtful to all her guests, you just love being there. There's an open kitchen, THE best home made biscuits ever, the option to have local fresh eggs, and cheese grits. Home made biscuits... More

Fantastic food local bakery bakes their biscuits and sweets. Homemade jams on the tables at breakfast were fantastic. The best Sausage gravy I have ever had you can tell it is made from scratch served over a huge biscuit. Great service and the staff are awesome. We ate breakfast here 2 mornings in a row, exceptional omelettes.

Okay, all the food was great. Nice burger, fresh and tasty salad dressing. However the chili was outstanding!
