Salvador's Mexican Restaurant is great for lunch or dinner. The service is fast, friendly and efficient. All of the Mexican dishes we tried were delicious.
Summary: Best food we've found in Mariposa, prices OK Details: We eat in Mariposa on every trip to Yosemite, and we make 7 or 8 trips a year. We are a family of four and economical, so we don't eat at the expensive places. Having a hankering for Mexican, we randomly picked Salvador's, not expecting anything other than average fare.... More
Can't say enough about the service. Food was very good -- we both had the chimichangas. Would recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.
I discovered a vegetable bowl menu item that was very good, under the salad area? of the menu, lots of vegetables and choice of meat. Had chicken. Most healthy option on the menu next to a plain salad. Love their carnitas and chili verde but can't eat that food too often or I would weigh 300 pounds.
This place has a lot going for it. It is conveniently located, nicely decorated, and staffed professionally. Waitress did everything possible to accommodate. Beers were cheap & cold. Food was decent, but nothing special. Prices were very reasonable. I would recommend this place-as long as you are not looking for a gourmet meal.

Its main focus is (of course) Mexican and you won't find any deviations from the expected. Sal's also offers a fine selection... More

Also their chips & salsa were very good! We also enjoyed a Negra... More
