Very good but not exceptional food. But very good service and superb mixed drinks...great for a meet and drink on their outside terrace. I'll go back for the martinis! And tapas...

I am a local and can literally say that I eat brunch at Mercedes every weekend! It's a great spot to share a bottle of champagne with friends and people watch all while eating the best breakfast around! LOVE!

We stopped in late afternoon for drinks and snacks and were allowed to pick an outside seat. The people-watching a block from Venice Beach was funny. All kinds of people walking by. A person holding a cat with sunglasses and a dress, spiked Mohawk hair, beet red sunburns, classic cars driving and parking. All manner of dress and undress. We... More

Lunch time tired and hungry from walking on the boardwalk all morning and afternoon. So we decided to walk in this restaurant because the food looked delicious from what we saw on the patio. We were so pleased when we got our food. The burger was very popular and I loved the meat, so juicy and all around an amazing... More

Ate here with my family, we all really enjoyed our plates. I had the Ropa, my wife has the Pork Asado. Both were really good - I mean really good, not just better than average, really good. The wait staff was excellent. The only have two knocks: 1. We were attracted here b/c of the advertised wine special, however upon... More

This place is just a few doors from the sand of Venice Beach, definitely in a touristy area. Not the sort of place you'd expect to find quality food. They were extremely nice (again, unusual in a touristy area) We were a bit late for our reservation (parking is hard to find) and we asked if they would hold it... More

Great food, coffee, drinks, service. Mark, the manager took great care for a catered dinner I had since I was staying right behind in a rental house. I've found a new home base when in and out of LAX for business/travel.

As a restaurant, Mercede’s Cuban Grill is very good, offering good food at a fair price, although when it’s busy, and it can get very busy, service suffers. But as a place to eat, it excels, because it’s right by the beach, and handy for a walk along the pier. The prices reflect the location to some extent, they are... More

Great 1/2 price deals on omelets and salads. Breakfast til 2! Good variety to choose from. Nice blend of American and Latin flavors. Would recommend!
