The food here is absolutely delicious. Intimate terrific little restaurant that is completely unassuming from it's exterior. But once inside, you'll feel transported to a wonderful Roman cafe. I had Sea Bass, which was cooked to perfection and dressed magnificently. It came with with spinach and potatoes, which we're really tasty. We started out with Mussels and Clams in a... More

Locanda is a great little local Italian restaurant in Marina Del Rey. In an unassuming spot on Lincoln Blvd. next to the do-it-yourself car wash, the restaurant extends behind the exterior location. Now... the food reviews have been mixed, but the winners ARE TERRIFIC! Not everything gets an OMG reaction, but a few do... 1) Steak with shaved truffle. One... More

I don't know how this restaurant got a 4.5 from Open Table reviewers! The food was poor to average at best and for almost $100.00 per person you would think that the food could have been fresh! But, no, on the contrary, it tasted stale, over cooked from reheating and very salty (perhaps to camouflage the staleness). The only delicious... More

My husband and I went to Locanda Positano last week for the first time. I had purchased a Groupon for dinner for two. The restaurant is quite small and charming. We started by sharing a salad. It had thinly sliced baby artichokes with baby wild arugola and shaved parmesan cheese. It was delicious! I could have made a meal on... More

I went here because it was close to my hotel and based on the reviews. I ordered the LINGUINE ALLA POSITANO after seeing it served to another customer. I did look great and the sauce was very good and there was a plentiful amount of seafood in the dish that was beautifully arranged. The problem was that right after the... More

The truffle tasting menu was very disappointing. The appetizer was very large then the main course small. Confusing. And the gnocchi was mushy. Very unsatisfying. The food that other tables had around us looked great. So much for a tasting menu

After dining at Locando Positano seven or eight times, I can decisively say it's one of my favorite Italian restaurants in LA. Oh Locando, let me count the ways I love thee... Your attentive and impeccable service: From the initial greeting, to beverage refills to the subtle removal of plates without intruding on conversations. Your lasagna, pasta locando with a... More

This is a very small restaurant (maybe 30 people) and if you are unfortunate to be there with a loud group at one table (as we were) you won't be able to hear yourself think, let alone hear what your dining mate is saying from across the table. An extremely loud group of eight disrupted the evening for everyone else... More
